Oh happy Day! A new dutch oven AND a Blog!

Well, I've done it! I'm a blogger! I can't imagine anyone would want to read my thoughts, but this gives me a place to organize them for my own purposes. Now maybe I can get some of the thoughts out of my head and into this space and rest more peacefully at night.

Yesterday my husband and I decided to go on a spur of the moment date. It was a Sunday which would be a little limiting for most people but for us provided the most ideal kind of date.

We went to TJ Maxx to search for our favorite salsa and some brown transferware followed by a trip to Barnes and Noble for Pumpkin Spice Latte & magazines. My husband enjoys this as much as I do. I am married to the perfect man!

We were happy to find 2 jars of our favorite peach salsa but none of the brown transferware I was hoping for. However, we did manage to discover a beautiful pear green dutch oven. I must mention that I have been coveting a dutch oven for a long time but couldn't handle paying upwards of $200 for one. I had even just received the lastest Williams Sonoma catalog, which had me quivering with desire, but the price is impossible for me to justify.

Well, now I have to tell you, in case you don't know me very well, I am cheap. Frugal. Tight. Thrifty. Even though this little pear green beauty was selling for a mere $39.99, I still couldn't justify it. Luckily my husband could. After I drooled over it for awhile and then walked away, he insisted we buy it. He was not going to let me go home without that dutch oven. Not for anything.

Have I mentioned that I am married to the perfect man?
