Christmas Music

I adore Christmas music & listen to it all year long. My favorite cd's are probably Ella Fitzgerald's Ella Wishes you a Swinging Christmas, Pottery Barn Hip Holidays Vol. 1, Harry Connick, Jr. When my Heart Finds Christmas and Christmas with Mahalia Jackson. I'm always looking for new ones to add to my collection and I realize I haven't bought any this year. Please share your favorite Christmas cd with me & maybe a copy will find it's way into my collection. Are you paying attention Santa?

  1. Me too! We have TONS of Christmas CDS. My favorites are The Lennon Sisters (lots of harmony for good loud singing by me or whomever), Andy Williams, Bing Crosby (of course) and Harry Connick, Jr. The Andy Williams ones are so 1960's-ish...very enjoyable and Anna loves them.

  4. Hi! I love all sorts of Christmas songs from the traditional and choir-sung, right up to the offbeat stuff like Kirsty MacColl and the Pogues' Fairlytale of New York! So I find the best CD's for me are the compilation ones.

  8. I just picked up Celine Dion's "These are Special Times" at Target(in the Christmas decor section) on sale for $7.99 and have played it exclusively except when my 15 y o daughter complains and then I play Perry Como just to 'shut her up', and THEN go back to Celine. It is a beautiful CD with a few traditional songs we all know, but alot of new ones that are wonderful. Her duet with Andrea Bocelli is my fav and the last tune is her and her family singing acapella (sp?) a French song which is beautiful. I definitely got my $$ worth with this one. There are some songs on there I could even stand to listen to all year. Try it!
