A Fresh Start

As the new year approaches, I do what I always do. I start thinking about how I can get my house organized. I think my love of organizing really stems from my love of baskets. And boxes. And buckets. And tins. And jars. And Shelves. And cubbies. And hooks. And tags. And labels. Sure, it's nice to be able to find things when I'm looking for them, but that's just a bonus.

I can't wait to pick up some new storage totes today and a bulletin board for my studio so I have a place to put all those pictures and things that inspire me to want to create. Oh and a hook to attach to the side of my work table. And maybe I'll roam around looking at all the storage options, always on the look out for something that was designed for a different purpose but that can be used in my effort to contain everything in my house.
Yesterday we organized the spice cabinet, today the Christmas decorations, tomorrow the world...

My heart is racing, my hands are shaking. I have gotten myself all worked up. I am down right giddy at the thought of all those containers. I'll go warm up the car. See you at Target.

  9. Hi Jen we must be on the same wave length. I seriously need to tidy up my work room, maybe I will get brave and post a before and after picture but at the moment I am so ashamed to even pop my head round the door and admit that I actually work in this chaos.
I love your pics - so inspirational.
    Best wishes Ginny

  11. Oh I totally agree with your love of all things for storage. There's something wonderful about a new year and getting the decorations down and doing a bit of re-organising. I'll be going looking for some new storage too.
Your baubles almost look as good in their storage box as they would hanging up.
