Which Do You Want First?

I have some exciting news to share today! I've been patiently keeping my lips zipped about this one. Honestly, I never knew I had it in me. I am one of 4 new contributing bloggers at Openhouse, the HomeGoods blog. I'm in very good company over there and if you've never visited their blog, or haven't in a while, I encourage you to go and bookmark it and check back often. The great thing about the blog is that with so many contributors there is always something new and fun to read.

My bad news is that Jen and Carrie's Excellent Adventure has been cancelled. Poor Carrie wasn't able to find someone to watch her girls while we went off to have fun, so now I will be sticking close to home and looking forward to reading all about it on other people's blogs. The up side is that now I'll have more money to put away for Silver Bella. Always look for that silver lining people!

  14. Please keep us in your prayers. The eye of Huricane Ike is headed directly over our farm. We expect a few rough days with all of our animals. I will try and keep the blog updated as best as I can.

  25. Jen - Thank you so very much for leaving a comment. I'm so glad to reconnect with you old friend. I miss you! I think about you often and I still have a book of Jim's sitting on my bookshelf (sorry!!) I can't believe how much the girls have grown. They are beautiful.

I love your taste and always have. I think back to Emma's nursery in your old house and what wonderful ideas you had. And as I look at your site I can finally say, "I know someone famous!!!"

I didn't have time to check your entire blog out, but I've got the cutest little craft that involves a cheap wood frame, scrapping paper, printing a monogram and Mod Podge. The whole craft cost me less than $3.00 and it looks like an expensive frame, but then again anything with a monogram looks expensive! I'll try and post about it soon.

I'm so happy for you! Next time you're in town, I expect a call. We'll go to a quaint little tea shop and have a fabulous time!

    Lots of love,
    Allyson
