Getting Fresh

I love a fresh start. I've ordered my new Moleskine XL Monthly 2011 planner and can't wait to get ahold of those blank pages & start filling them up. I hope to use it not just as a calendar but as a journal of sorts too. Journaling is big on my mind this year, possibly because of all of the ideas I have rolling around in there. Last year you saw me Choose Joy. That became an integral part of my life and I will continue to carry that with me always. This year I have decided to Live Fearlessly. I hope that also becomes an integral part of my life.

The combination of my 40th birthday and this fresh new year seem to have caused some sort of reaction that has me feeling...well, quite honestly, a bit sassy, energized and creative.  I'm pretty sure this is not a temporary situation. I sense that I might be a handful this year. I should probably apologize for that in advance...but I'm not going to. See? What in the world is wrong with me?

On the creative front, I feel a little blog makeover coming up. Also, I'm thinking about signing up for this class but I need to hurry up and decide. I really want to sign up for the big photography workshop they offer but since I would first need to buy a SLR camera, it might have to wait until after we buy a house. Priorities, sheesh.

Speaking of buying a house...we are so ready! We have now been in our house 7 months which means we are getting far along enough in our lease to start looking seriously. And I am most assuredly serious about this particular topic. There is nothing on the market we are interested in yet...but you can bet I am watching it like a hawk. I'm about to burst with excitement, not just about house hunting, but about LIFE.

What an encouraging post! I have been experiencing some of the same feelings.....excited about change for the new year and taking some time to CREATE! Tree came down today.....and completely redid living and dining rooms using things from my little shop and other rooms. Excited to "go along" when you begin you shopping for your new home! Looking forward to your posts on that!!!!

  3. Jen- I love it when you feel so excited with life that you feel like you are about to pop! And I am excited for you to find a house that you can love and make a permanent home. I know God has one in mind for you-but it is hard to be patient and wait sometimes, isn't it?

Happy New Year to you...I have ALWAYS been sassy! I like it! Hugs-Diana

  5. Hey Jen, I loved this post, your energy & enthusiasm is contagious!! Yay for living fearlessly, I might have to borrow this idea as my own theme for the year. But choosing joy is a nice balance so perhaps I'll go for both and throw in a bit of 'remembering to breathe' as well. Hope the new year is off to a great start for you, enjoy! x

  11. Happy New Year Jen! Turning 40 is so liberating....it's like you can finally own who you are. And it sounds like you are trouble. Just kidding! I love that you are going to be a handful in 2011. But save a little energy for unpacking and decorating that new house that will find you.

    xoxo, Julia

I love to junk and thrift... one of my favorite things to do.
I need to get a new calendar. I forgot to pick one up. Silly me. Like that will keep the days from filling up!
