Nesting

My nesting mood continues and now seems to be overlapping on to my blog. I've been wanting to redo my blog for quite some time and simplify things but I find that I'm fairly ignorant about such things. Add to that the fact that I'm also frugal and you will find me piddling around with it myself rather than shell out money that could be used for the house. Or for more fabric, which I seem to be unable to stop buying.

I've been organizing, tossing and rearranging all weekend and it looks like the trend will continue for a bit. I have some fun things to show you as a result but I'm finishing up a few details first.

I hope you are feeling as inspired as I am this week.

  1. Jen- I am so getting organized and trying to weed out and sort through things. It is just hard to let go of things...and I have been sorting through my fabrics and can't let go of a single piece! xo Diana

  2. I know that nesting feeling! I'm in the middle of a blog makeover and I'm getting ready to shell out the money to get help. Going from blogger to wordpress is just stressing me out way too much! I'm already thinking the money will be well spent:)
I have messed with blogger some if you have any questions I could answer I'd be glad to help you there.(for free!)

  6. I thought of you today - I think I was kinda near your house. Maybe. :-) I'm on a high nesting alert. If I had it my way, the only place I'd leave the house for it the fabric store. Embrace Winter 2012 is in full swing. : -)

  13. I am trying to figure out all this techie stuff myself too. I got a laptop for Christmas and it has totally opened me up to trying new things. Guess I'm alittle in the dark about all this stuff, but I'm having fun learning it all. I love how your Nest sign is sparkling in the sun!

  14. Hi Jen, Your blog looks great. I am a self tinkerer, too. I get to spend the whole day in my studio and hopefully will have something to show for it at the end of the day.

  16. I think your header looks wonderful, it's unique, not like every other persons out there. Mine is also one that needs a re-do. I'm like you, though, I won't pay for someone to do it for me. My hubby will help me, though I will not pay someone to do it for me.
I took a peak at your studio and WOW!!! It looks fabulous!

  17. So you have a bro named Chip? My Dad's nickname was Chip and my oldest son reminded us of him and so he got the nickname too. I do know one other Chip. I guess it is unusual! Have fun nesting!

  21. ... in desperate need of organization - but find my mind wafting through ideas and thoughts which seem to gobble up many minutes throughout the day - LOL. Love your pics - inspiring! I did manage to freshen up my little blog ... added things here and there. Now one can order home portraits and family trees straight from my blog. That's something, right? :) Love your spot here ... it's cozy, cheery, and incredibly inspiring ...
