Monday Moments

 I can't believe the end of April is upon us. Everything is blooming and colorful outside and I still find myself wanting to bring more of that color into our home. This may not be a phase. By the way, I bought that vintage tablecloth to make an ottoman slipcover and I can't seem to cut into it so it remains a throw.

Today I butchered 3 lilac bushes that were planted in an unfortunate spot and which had grown big enough to block most of the sun coming in this window. This afternoon I couldn't take it another moment and went after them with the shears. My Sweet Hubby will now have to dig out their lifeless stumps. I feel much better. Now I can sit in my timeout corner and bask in the sunshine. I'm planning some quality time here with this magazine that I found at Target this morning. I was late to the Domino party and didn't discover it until it had ceased publication. I'm sad about that, although it's pretty typical of me. This awesome special edition will help make up for it.

I want to thank each of you for your helpful advice on my last post. I've booked an apartment in Paris, I'm working on our London plan, my back is improving every day, I've started doing Pilates at home and tonight will be our 3rd night on our new Tempur-Pedic mattress. I'm looking forward to a productive week. Fingers crossed.

  1. I too was way too late to the Domino party. I don't think I've even looked through a complete magazine. Sigh. I may have to find my own copy of this one!

  7. Happy I have a stack of Domino's that I didn't throw away. However, I don't have them from the very beginning of the short lived Domino :(

    Oh, there is this main, huge department store in Paris that you just keep climbing and you end up on the rooftop with spectacular views of Paris & the Eiffel tower. WE didn't pay a dime and didn't even wait in line then to go up the Eiffel tower....on of our best memories. {p.s. no one was in site on top of that roof top!}

  10. Jen, so glad things are clicking into place for you. Your special corner looks perfect. I've been thinking of purchasing a temper pedic but don't know anyone who owns one ... How do you like it?
