Just Another Muffin Monday

(Recipe can be found here!)

I love Mondays. Just me, home alone, doing my thing. However, Mondays can be hard for my girls. Recently I got up early on a Monday morning, got my morning routine done early, made chocolate chip muffins, put on a favorite cozy, snuggling show we love to watch and made sure I was really present for that hour.

That afternoon Emma told me that her day at school was great because "how could any day that started like that, end up anything but good?" I was pretty sure Maddie felt the same way and when I received her response last night to the news that she would be waking up to Monday muffins, I had my confirmation. I feel good knowing that I can do small things to make them feel loved before I send them out into the big, wide world. I'm not above buying their happiness with a wee bit of chocolate.

  1. It really is the little things! I'm sure that they will remember those things as they grow up into adults.
