About a year ago I started saving one or two shells each time we went to the Coast. When I get home, I use a Sharpie to write the date (or a memory) from the trip on the shell and then save them all together in a big IKEA apothecary jar. It's a pretty decoration, memories, and a collection all in one.Cris of Kiss My Tullehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01288828107469402669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36124766.post-85988877881098258462008-05-27T20:18:00.000-04:002008-05-27T20:18:00.000-04:00Oy. Now I only have what I absolutely need and anything that I "collect" MUST several a purpose. For example, I adore displaying photos so I have loads of picture frames, I love t read so I have many books (that I read and reread), and I really like baskets because they can hold stuff.Cris of Kiss My Tullehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01288828107469402669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36124766.post-53979958118639996852008-05-27T19:10:00.000-04:002008-05-27T19:10:00.000-04:00Great photos! My space for collections is very limi...Great photos!
My space for collections is very limited, so aside from the massive fabric stash, I don't usually have more than 5 or 6 of something.

Kimberly :)Niesz Vintage Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11952472758360034508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36124766.post-89464140665645729622008-05-27T16:26:00.000-04:002008-05-27T16:26:00.000-04:00Your collections are beautiful!DeniseYour collections are beautiful!

DeniseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36124766.post-2520598207488207762008-05-27T15:59:00.000-04:002008-05-27T15:59:00.000-04:00Whenever people ask me what I collect, I could usu...Whenever people ask me what I collect, I could usually list dozens and dozens of things. Sometimes I wonder if I should be more selective about what I choose to collect. But ultimately, my collections stem from what I love...and that's old black & white photos, old linens (tablecloths, napkins, sheets, pillowcases, doilies, etc.), baskets, seashells, hotel silver, and ... I could just keep going. I'll save you and stop! ;o) I love the pictures here on this post!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06250370146876721525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36124766.post-30586841999168717362008-05-27T13:05:00.000-04:002008-05-27T13:05:00.000-04:00Great photos, Jen! I collect: books (thousands), hammered aluminum (platters, bowls), cake plates, rabbit sculptures, antique hand-cut glassware. I have a very large collection of what I call "orphan creamers"... those are creamers that have somehow lost their sugar bowls!

I display as much as I can and I use the cake plates and creamers when entertaining. The hammered aluminum pieces are displayed on bookshelves behind other stuff.

Great inspiration photos.

- Suzanne, the Farmer's WifeSuzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06475380451527801666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36124766.post-56125659978308049602008-05-27T09:26:00.000-04:002008-05-27T09:26:00.000-04:00Great pics!
