57 degrees is our forecasted high temperature today. The thought of it has me feeling all dreamy and happy. A little giddy really. Flip flops and pink toenails giddy. Green grass and open windows giddy.
I have myself a pretty severe case of Spring Fever and I will warn you now, it is highly contagious.
I find myself daydreaming about my new yard, my assortment of porches, getting my hands in the dirt, clotheslines, planting vegetables, my potting shed, badminton, long walks, sundresses, grilled pizza, hammocks, composting, chickens, aprons, brunches, treehouse renovations, picket fences, big trees, eating alfresco and reading in the sunshine. Freshly mowed grass. Sigh. That smell.
I am awaking from a long winter's nap. I'm ready to bound out of bed and get to it. Sadly I must wait and dream a while longer. I'm not feeling very patient in my wait.
Jen ~ I know how you feel. It's supposed to be 45 degrees today. Yippy! Could spring be on it's way?
ReplyDelete:-)

uhmmmm, me too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute post. And so contagious in the feelings. ;)
oh i know, isn't this great. we are getting this too. i am going to cry when it goes back to normal. enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE everything you listed and can't wait for it myself!!! And usually I'm a very glass-half-full, optimistic and NON bubble bursting type gal!! But MotherNature has a VERY good sense of humor! It was 55 here on Monday and BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Yesterday? 13 degrees!!! YIKES! Hope you don't get that same treatment, LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh and I am SO ready for flip flops!!!!!!
I had to laugh....I read your post to say "composting chickens" the first time. That was quite a buzz kill there for a minute!
ReplyDeleteGrilled pizza in your new back yard.
ReplyDeleteI'm there.
And I won't be shy about eating the last piece this time. Consider yourself warned.
p.s. Do you think Sweet Hubby will mow the grass while we eat so we get the full experience? But that would be rather noisy. Perhaps we need to get him one of those old fashioned push mowers.
Oh no, you did NOT show me peonies today!
ReplyDeleteYour list of exciteds has me all a'flutter.
When can I dine with you alfresco??
i'm ready to throw a cooler in the car and road trip to the beach!

I am loving it! Don't do the flip flops any more....I'm a pinch older so I wear my dansko sandals.
ReplyDeleteHugs~Hope
What a wonderful list. You have a way of inspiring me to make my home fresh, new and oh, so inviting...We had picture perfect spring weather last weekend and it was so fun getting my hands in the dirt! Time goes so quickly, it will all be happening before you know it!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you a bit for being impatient. It must be so exciting getting ready to move into your dream house!
ReplyDeleteI've got it bad too...I had to chuckle at your list...spring is so...optimistic...we CAN do it all:)
ReplyDeleteRene
Right there with ya!
ReplyDeleteMe too!! I can't wait for Spring! Our weather has been teasing us this last week. The temps have been in the upper fifties, now I see that next week we are supposed to be back down in the thirties, and there is a chance of snow overnight. Ugh. We're going to have to wait a little bit longer.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great day!
Beth.
peonies, porches and laundry on the line ... you had me at hello! it's been gorgeous here, too ... 41 felt *amazing* yesterday! sadly, there's still too much snow to even think of flip flops. i'll live vicariously through your springiness until, well, june. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way, I find myself promising God I will never complain about it being hot again!!! This winter in Indy has been brutal and I'm looking forward to getting outside again!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the clothes on the line pic.
ReplyDeleteI have caught the exact same fever...I cannot wait to see signs of green grass, leaves on trees, bare feet, sun dresses, I have hibernated long enough...spring...lets get it on!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved your pretty pics.. your first one makes me want to redo my kitchen! Yep, I feel the same way about spring.. but for me it will be autumn here soon. Bummer! take care, Maryann
ReplyDeleteI am so with you! I noticed my hellebores are in bloom. So sweet. Love the peonies; one of my favorites.

Our forecast is for snow this weekend. Lord, please don't let it be. I want to go outside and hang laundry-I want to plant sweet peas-and I want to go for a walk without a heavy coat and muffler!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful post! It really made me crave spring and summer. I am ready. Unfortunately, winter is making a comeback. It has gotten quite chilly again and they are even saying the *S word for the next several days. Goodness! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cheery images!
