After months of planning, my Christmas Jubilee passed in a blur. Some of that was drug induced due to my frantic pace of the last few weeks catching up with me and my back but we won't talk about that. We also won't talk about how somebody like me acts when they take a pain pill because they NEVER take pain pills. What happens at the Jubilee stays at the Jubilee.
This is a picture heavy post (probably word heavy too) so if you aren't a fan of Christmas or creative things you might want to hightail it on out of here. I'm thinking if that is the case you are also probably the kind of person that doesn't like kittens, sunshine or smiling. Or you are a man. Either way no offense.
My bookcase was turned into craft central for the day and served as a great little place to shop for project goodies. Plus it just looked pretty. For some reason I got no regular pictures of this spot (my favorite) and had to use this instagram pic.
The dining room was decked out in her holiday finery. Here she is waiting for her moment in the spotlight.
Crafty girls need fuel to keep their minds and hands inspired so we started with lunch, which was an amazing feast ! Every one brought something to share and I would have happily grazed all afternoon but these girls wanted to get their craft on.
The deer seem to be multiplying in my house. Even the Elf loves them.
The beverage station. Whenever I throw a party for Emma the girls always go crazy for the paper straws. Turns out big girls go crazy for paper straws too!
Beautiful Christmas cupcakes made by my friend Courtney. No, sorry. I won't share her with you. I sure wish there were some of these left!
She also brought a package of Fleur de Sel Caramels for each of the guests to take home. I just remembered I have 2 left so as soon as I'm done with this post...
This was our first project, a Christmas diorama ornament. I've been obsessed with dioramas since Elementary school.
Our second project was this vintage style clip on snowman ornament.
I love how these girls just dove right in with such excitement and enthusiasm. It was a great group of people. By the way, none of them knew each other before Saturday but you never would have known that by the atmosphere in the room. I so love creative people.
A beautiful mess. My favorite kind.
A work in progress.
The finished dioramas. I think all that tinsel and glitter sent my camera into a fit and this is the least blurry picture I got. Sadly I didn't get a picture of a single finished snowman! It got crazy at the end. I also didn't get a picture of their take home boxes which were large bakery boxes with bakers twine and a festive flower topper. If anyone at the party got one and shares it with me I will add it here later.
It was an amazing day and I loved every moment of it. My heart was absolutely full watching my friends play and make each project their own. They are such a creative bunch! Carrie, Courtney, Jamey, Leah, Melissa and Sarah, thank you so much for blessing me with your friendship and for an afternoon I will never forget!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like the most perfect Christmas crafty party ever in the history of the earth, JJ.
ReplyDeleteNext year, I think you should take the photography pressure off of your cute little self and bring in a photog for the day.
I actually have someone in mind and word on the street is that she doesn't even care if her camera gets its own pretty dusting of tinsel and glitter.
She may be tempted to steal a cupcake though.
Just sayin.
How fun!! Everything is beautiful!
