Sunday Inspiration
Today is the kind of February day in the Midwest that can make you believe that Spring really, truly is coming, that Spring is not just some illusive idea you conjured up to get yourself through snow, ice and freezing temperatures. It is, therefore, exactly the kind of day I needed. It inspired me to do some Spring cleaning. Not at home but here on my blog.
I've added a list of blogs that inspire me back on my side bar. I was clearing out the blogs on my reader, many of which haven't had a new post in several months, and I realized I really miss having the ability to click over to a few favorite blogs directly from mine. Maybe blogging is no longer trendy but honestly, I never have much cared about trends. Trends are for people that don't know themselves.
There are many blogs I follow but the blogs on this list are my happy place. They are truly inspiring my desire to fill my heart and life with creativity this year. I love them either for their photography, projects, color, words, ability to make my day a bit brighter and happier or all of the above. I hope they might inspire you a bit too on this beautiful Sunday morning.

ReplyDeleteI missed your blog roll and am so happy it's back. I still use mine to view my favorite blogs as well. Who needs trends, right?
ReplyDeleteHi :), I feel so honored that you included me on your blog roll, i'm actually a little teary eyed it means so much to me because i am such a fan of your blog and what you write and show here. Most of the other blogs i am so familiar with and inspired by too and i see a few i don't know about so i will check them out. Love your new blog header too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your beautiful weather...
Hi, I agree with you about inspiring blogs. While I've stopped blogging myself (too many life hurdles is 2013) I really enjoy visiting other bloggers and would miss them terribly if they stopped. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I've never cared for trends either. And I love having a blog roll to read blogs from. Your new header looks nice too.

Well now I need to check out your favorite blogs. I have to say your blog is one of my happy places. :)
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a trend follower either...I know what I like and what makes me comfortable and happy....that is all that is important. I try to instill that into my kids as well.
Hi there. I found you just recently through Coco Rose and so I shall make a point of popping back and reading through your blog list too.
ReplyDeleteOver here in Southampton, UK we too had that kind of sunny Spring day, doesn't it just make you feel so much happier. It put a real spring in my step when I went out to buy the groceries.
Love the photo of your kitty cat.

just found your blog and enjoy it very much, love the colors in your home.
ReplyDeleteWell, I am just honored to have my little blog on your blog list! I'll be adding you to mine as well because I could most definitely browse your blog for hours. :) That green door above is just fabulous! I mean like really fabulous. Do you know the paint color? (not that I need anything else to paint right now, lol)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and seeing a new post from you! :) Hope you have a great week. Will be checking out your favorites!
ReplyDeleteYour little blog is always a refreshing and inspiring read, Can't wait to check the others out. I really want to get back to blogging. Our family has been going through some heavy stuff, and I don't want it to spill over as negative on my blog. But Spring is just around the corner and your inspiration encourages me to hop in there again. Have a blessed week, and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWell, I got as far as Be Crafty and spent way too much time exploring. I will have to go back to the rest of your blog list when I have more time.
ReplyDeleteI hope spring arrives soon.
Your blog is one that inspires me...and I have you on my sidebar blog roll. I happen to love seeing other blogger's blog rolls...I've found some wonderful new-to-me bloggers this way. Spring seems far away here in northern IL. We have a very cold week coming up, with Thursday's high being 30 and low of zero. But, it's cheery inside my home. :-)
ReplyDeleteHey Jen- Your new header is really cute- oh, and so is your cat! :) But what I really really really love is THAT LAMP! Oh boy!! Enjoy the crafting!
ReplyDeleteThe most beautiful example of authenticity can be found HERE. You bless the world Jen.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for everything.
Love always,
Kim
Hi, Jen. I just want you to know I really enjoy reading your blog. I like the quietness of your theme, the muted colors, the comforting words, the serenity of it all. I like your decorating style, as well. It's quiet, uncluttered, and yet, a little haphazard (in a good way). You are a blessed woman. Thank you for sharing your world with the rest of us. Sharon from Arlington, TX
ReplyDelete"Trends are for people that don't know themselves." I couldn't have said it better :)

Blogs really have turned into money making opportunities for many people. However, I still most enjoy the "traditional" blogs that share inspiring beauty from every day life. Thank you for being one!
ReplyDeleteOooooo . . . . looking forward to browse your list. Your blog is ALWAYS my favorite!
ReplyDeleteYes, blogging isn't as trendy as it use to be- instagram has taken over. But I recently started a new blog with new focus and I am so inspired to blog again because of the joy it brings me- not worrying about # of followers or blogging every other day . . . just documenting this sweet life I've been blessed with.
I also follow several of the blogs you have listed...they ARE happy places indeed! I'm going to visit some of the others now....thank you for sharing them. I'm always looking to be inspired!!
