The Stitch-it Kit embroidery book is awesome. It's been on my Amazon wish list for quite awhile but I found it recently at Joann's and after using my 50% off coupon, it was quite a bargain. I haven't bought the Sublime Stitching one yet but I have looked through it and it is next on the list.
My mother purchased a kids cookie baking cookbook for me when I was about 7 & I've been a baker ever since. You are putting her on a fun path!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute and creative books. How fun!

My girls ages 15, 13, and almost 8 have recently started doing stitchery, and are loving it.
ReplyDeleteThe Klutz Books have a great stitchery book with iron on patterns.
I love to watch them learn new things.
Thanks! I've been looking for a good beginners embroidery/stitchery book.
ReplyDeleteI love to sew, but have never embroidered. But, I've been inspired to try it by Janet over at Primrose Design. On her blog, she shows different stitches step by step. A book for children would be just my speed. LOL :)

I think that is wonderful Jen you are inspiring her to become crafty! Nothing wrong with good ole craftiness in a girl! Neat you can share together. cherry
ReplyDeleteKudos on passing your talent down to your daughter :D Mine is 5, and she wants to knit, and I don't know how :( Imagine in 20 years, you and your daughter crafting and sewing together...good stuff!
