There is nothing like paneling to give a home character. Vertical or horizontal, it matters not to me. I love it either way. Floor to ceiling, creamy paint, texture and charm. It seems that most people that have it don't appreciate it and those of us who do appreciate it, don't have it. I would love to add it to at least one room in my house someday.
Ooooh! I love all the pictures!

Oh, picture #2 from Mary E's house! Love that house! It's so storybook...
ReplyDeleteI love pic #3 with the paneling running horizontal. I really want paneling or beadboard on all our ceilings... ah, someday...
ReplyDeleteI love them all!
ReplyDeleteI too love the white panelling, its so fresh and add texture to a room. And i will be trying the granola bars this weekend. Thanks for the receipe.Meri
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. I wish I had paneling, maybe in the dining room as well as in the bathroom. I especially love that bathroom picture, I saw it sometime in the past and fell in love with it.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures. Wood does add a charm to a home, I would agree. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Jen.
ReplyDeleteI love it too. I would like to do that in my bathroom someday.
Have a great weekend!

Jen what wonderful inspiration you have shared. I'm like you I have always loved wood paneling. In fact we were in Lowe's tonight checking the prices of beadboard and trims. We are going to add it to our kitchen bookcase in the coming weeks. RJ
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm one of those that has paneling and doesn't appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, really liked the table in the last one!
Manuela
You are so right. There is nothing like beadboard or wainscoting to add some charm and character to ahome, especially a new home. We plan to add both to our new house. That's the drawback to new...not as much character...
ReplyDeleteGreat inspirational pictures!!
Linda
I love the pictures. You always give such great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI would love that bathroom!
You always find the best pictures. All are lovely!

Love those homes! I love how the fresh clean white homes look, but not very practical for me and my chocolate lab! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! One of these days, we'll have wood on the walls of our bathroom at the lake. I feel it really NEEDS it!;-)

Love the pictures. When we lived in Calistoga, CA we lived in a house that was built in 1857. It was said to have been an old stagecoach stop in its day; square nails and all. It had been added on to over the years and one of the additions was white wood paneling - not for decorative purposes I am sure. It can also be a good choice when you are trying to cover imperfections! Thanks for the great post - have I mentioned lately how much I love your blog?

I like your style!

I love all the pictures. The textures really do add personality. My brother has pecky cypress in several rooms of his home. It is gorgeous and timeless.
ReplyDeletelovely pictures I wish that was my house. There is certainly something about wood panelling I love it.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty photos! I, too, love painted wood and paneling, and your pictures show the wonderful texture that various woods bring to a room.
ReplyDeleteYou have me longing to throw everything out and go all white!!! Maybe someday when my girls aren't such dirt magnets (they are as bad as boys!)
ReplyDeleteI am totally digging the huge clock, upside down cloche light fixture (?), and just about everything else in the second to last picture...thanks for sharing!
PS~ I have beadboard and DO appreciate it...probably because I put it there, LOL!
Yummy pix!!! Love them all! We have beaded board wainscotting in our bathrooms and it makes us feel like we're living at the beach year-round! Thanks for the wonderful images & inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI SO love paneling. As my husband says, I have an insatiable urge to "drape everything in beadboard." I didn't do as much as I wanted to in this house, but I hope to do more in the next one! ~A :-)
