I fully intended to announce a giveaway last week to celebrate the kindness and support of all my wonderful blogging friends, but then, as often is the case, life happened. My mom came for a visit and I am not sorry to report that I was too busy spending time with her, antiquing, cooking and eating to pay much attention to blogging. Mom left yesterday and life is getting back to normal (although I will be working especially hard on the treadmill this week). I look forward to catching up with all of you in the next couple of days.In the meantime, I am happy to offer this gift of appreciation to one of you that leaves a comment on this post by Friday Sept 21st at 6pm Eastern time. Your box of cottage goodness will include, but is not limited to the items shown in the foreground of this photo, as I intend to continue adding to the package as inspiration strikes. These things really represent The Cottage Nest and my love for cooking, entertaining, decorating, crafting and being a smidge sassy. I hope you will enjoy having a little bit of my cottage in yours.

Oh my gosh. I want to see that book!!! I love your blog. I was thinking the other day that I need to make a stack of books like yours and get started reading. I borrowed from the library one of Jan Karon's books on CD to listen to while I cook. I've read and re-read her books, but I just love the storys so much. I am going to read the final Harry Potter book this fall. I didn't read it during the summer, it's just a fall book to me. Love the give away and your blog. I hope to start one someday.

I totally understand - in the past 2 weeks I've had a wedding (my son) family in for that (2 sisters, 2 daughters, 1 grand daughter, other son & finacee) a rehearsal dinner, birthday party, garage saleing, girly lunches out and an after wedding party! Then I rested for 4 days and my brothr and his wife came to visit!
