Here's a little Christmas tree inspiration for those of you who are still tweaking. I'm clearly inspired by touches of red this year. It seems to be a common thread that I find in all of my inspiration pictures. I also love the simplicity of the decorating in these rooms, as if the holidays are part of the rooms, but haven't taken over. I'm enjoying not having every surface of my home dripping with holiday cheer. No regrets now, and I'm certain there will be no regrets once it's time to put it all away.

I love all those lovely photos and I especially love the imperfection of the trees...perfectly imperfect!!

I love your words..."as if the holidays are part of the rooms". That's a perfect description of these rooms and a good "little voice inside my head" that I'm going to remember.
ReplyDeletethese trees make me happy...maybe it's because I love red, maybe it's because I love trees?!?!
ReplyDeleteyes I was more influenced by red this year than the last few. But just touches of it here and there... Love all those trees! How is yours coming along?
ReplyDeleteGreat inspirations photos.

Love those photos and like the idea of the decorations being a part of the room! I didn't do as much as I usually do and I'm happy with the result. Although when I see people with more than one tree I do have a slight twinge!

Lovely photos! I love red, too...but I like more of a claret than a true red. Certainly one of the special colors of the season!
ReplyDeleteOh...let's talk aprons in the New Year! :-)
Love the photos too Jen! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletelove these images...especially the top AND your new blog banner is so pretty!

I'm with ya here! It is going to be a breeze "undoing" the decorations this year at my house! And yet I still feel the house is festive!

I love the spare look you've captured here, and how there's touches of red, but not a freight train of red. Very nice!

I agree! This year I only put out my most favorite holiday decorations... sometime less is more. Especially when it's time to put it all away! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow - I looked all over for a good Christmas tree image to post on my blog this morning, and I couldn't find one! You have found some gems. Merry Christmas!
