I love Meg. I love her movies. I love her style. I love her ex-husband. But mostly, I love her hair. It looks great no matter what she does to it.
I feel the need for change, likely brought on by the sneak peak of spring we had on Sunday. I'm ready to shed some hair along with those 10 pounds I've lost. Ready for my outside to match the me inside. Sassy. Sexy. Carefree. Confident.
Are you shocked to learn that I am frozen with indecision? No? I didn't think so. Which Meg should I be? My hair has about the same amount of natural curl as hers but also straightens easily enough. That leaves my options wide open.
And although I love the idea of going dramatically shorter, I'm afraid I'll regret it if I can't at least get most of it up in a ponytail while I'm working out, gardening or riding in Sweet Hubby's convertible.
Which Meg would you pick?
Well, as a recently scalped woman, I say the shorter the better. You really don't miss the ever present pony tail.
ReplyDeleteWell, if Meg can have all these styles... why can't you? Start with the longest style... see if you like it... if not, move to the next style! You can always post your Meg style next to the photo of Meg for comparison...LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen I was pregnant with Jacy (7 years ago-YIKES!), I took a picture of Meg from "You've Got Mail" and told my stylist to "cut it like this". And she did. And I loved it. And I wore it like that for years. But man was it SHORT. Be sure your hubby likes short hair if you go that short!
ReplyDeleteI would pick Meg #2, I love how messy and unkempt is looks. Mine is also naturally curly, so I think you just got me thinking about a haircut of my own! You've been tagge, visit my blog for details!
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat - I adore her hair and I am in desperate need of a new do. I am thinking somewhere between 1 & 2 with some bangs maybe? For myself of course. And they look easier to style, the really short "You've Got Mail" ones take too long for me... good luck!
ReplyDelete1st and 3rd pic
ReplyDeleteI love Meg too, well except for the fack that her face isn't the same Meg face since she messed with it. I am with you on the ponytail thing. I have to be able to at least pull mine back to work out and do project.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the medium length Meg.
Rosemary
funny you should say....I have been dreaming of chopping off my very long locks for a meg 'do also. thanks for lining up all the choices for me :)I am loving meg
ReplyDelete#4,the paparazzi look like they do too!
Love the 3rd picture. If i had enough curl....that's the look I'd go for....so cute! :-) Rosie
ReplyDeleteI love Meg Ryan too. She needs to make another movie soon! I vote for style number 4. Short but not too short so you can do a couple of different styles. Of course you'll need a black leather jacket also ;)
ReplyDeleteMeg's hair looked the best in the film 'French Kiss'...cute AND sexy.
ReplyDeleteSue
I love all the Meg's - but if I must pick I'll chose #1 and #4. So cute!!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved Meg's do's. I was a little disappointed in her after the divorce and her lip injection fiasco, but her hair always looks great. I just got a couple of inches off of mine, so I am inching my way back to shorter again. I've missed it. I feel much more CHIC with shorter hair! But my husband loves long hair so I have to go slowly so he can ease back into it being short again! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe one in "you've got mail". Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWHooo! I say cut it to a medium length so you can play! Congrats on the new sassy, sexy you!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Robyn
I'd love to have the hair she's got on the 4th picture, but I'm partial to straight hair since, unfortunately, I have wavy hair! Whatever you do, do not mess with your lips!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Meg style from You've Got Mail!
ReplyDelete#1~~~~~short! cute, sassy to match the new you! it is only hair!(this i say after years of not ever wanting to let it go! )forget the pony! you can throw on a darling headband to keep it up and off your neck! i just cut off 16" and donated to pantene's beautiful lengths-GO FOR IT! YOU WILL LOVE IT!and you will be very surprised with how amazing you will feel! ann-marie
ReplyDeleteI like the first one..it looks easy, casual, and fun.
ReplyDeleteI love Meg Ryan also, but even more before she divorced Dennis Quaid...what a hunk! In good conscience I don't vote on hair styles from photos because no matter what I like, it never seems to look the same when I try it. It has so much to do with hair texture, face shape, etc. Any of Meg's are lovely. Good luck, Jen! Don't be afraid to go short...it will grow back. And who knows, when it does grow back you may find that you actually like the inbetween stage.
ReplyDeletethe 1st and 3rd picture!
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture--- she is just the cutest! And let's not forget about her darling daughter, Daisy! (I have a daughter who looks an awful lot like hers!)
ReplyDeleteIt is hard for me to say since I don't have a picture of your structure.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't she just wear that style the best? Btu I haven't done it either, putting my hair up in a swooping pnytail is too appealing!

I agree with Sister Sheri!
ReplyDeleteTry them all....I can't wait to see what you choose!
I think the 1st picture is great. I don't have the guts to go short or a husband that would like it:) I would think twice about going too short. Think about the pony tail.
ReplyDeleteI love megs' ahir too. When I went short, I couldn't do a pony tail any more, but I learned to embrace barrette's and find my inner little girl is really enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteJen R
The first one and the last one would give you more versatility to pull it up.
ReplyDeleteIf you have hair like hers you are one lucky ducky!!! I lOVE her hair!!!
Good luck and show us a pic when you choose you "new do"!!!
How about #1? Can we look like her too?
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Nan
I'd pick number 3 and number 6. I just like the soft almost romantic look to the hair style..plenty of curl yet and long enough to put in a cute ponytail if you wanted to.
ReplyDeleteI love every single hair style Meg had. Once I had the short version but I love long hair. But if you want a drastic change than do something drastic. It can always grow back.
ReplyDeleteSuzy
I like the first one the best and the one underneath next if you`re afraid of going too short :)

I stop to tell Hi, and to tell I Love you blog!
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny you mention Meg's hair - that's what I always do when talk with my hairstylist. I think she is so unique!
Which ever Meg you choose, think carefully before becoming she of the bee stung lips. YUCK!
ReplyDeleteI liked her hair in Top Gun. So easy to "do" and care for.
