French General: Home Sewn by Kaari Meng (pictured above and below)
Seriously, how could you not get this book? You have The French-Inspired Home by Kaari from a few years ago, right? No? What are you waiting for? Go order it too!
Country Living Storage Style by Lesley Porcelli
Country.Living.Storage.Style. What else really needs to be said? This appeals to me on so many levels and anything that might encourage me to continue on my quest to have an organized home, automatically goes on the list.
Stitched in Time by Alicia Paulson
Finally a book by Miss Posie Gets Cozy herself. Pinch me, I must be dreaming. If you aren't familiar with her blog then click on the link to the right and you will be so happy to lose yourself in her world for a couple of hours.
Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics by Ina Garten
Love, love, love all of her books. If you only own 1 cookbook, it better be one of hers. The best birthday present Sweet Hubby ever got me is a handsigned copy of her french cookbook. Love that man for knowing me so well. I've promised Maddie a full library of the Contessa books when she gets her first place. I suspect she will have men lining up at the door when she starts cooking from them. Maybe I should rethink that.
Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle by Tone FinnangerI received her Sew Pretty Homestyle book as a gift last year and I love it. I'm sure this one will be just as wonderful.
Now for the giveaway (drumroll please)
3 of you lucky peeps will receive a book from my personal collection, leaving me a little extra room on the bookshelves for the above mentioned titles. I will be giving away:
A decorating book:
A Craft book:
And a cooking and entertaining book:
Oh books, I love books. So when you start giving them away, it is time to come out of my lurking position. I would love all three books, but since I am from Europe, US cook books always require a lot of mathematics because of our metric system. So I´ll go for the other two. As for books I like. I don´t speak or read a word of Danish but I am so in love with the books from Jeanny D´Arc Living. Since I can´t read a word they are really pretty picturebooks for me, but so worth it. They have that Scandinavian-French country thing down to a tee.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, from a Dutch fan,

ReplyDeleteWell, I would love the Southern Living Easy Cooking book because I am really starting to get into cooking homemade meals! I know. Sad, isn't it? ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the opportunity!
God Bless You & Your Family!
I'd love to recommend the following book to you for decorating inspiration: It is titled "Discovering Home with Laurie Smith; Find Your Personal Style". Laurie Smith is a designer whom you may have seen on the HGTV network. Her book shows how she decorated her mid-century American home in a kind of clean, modern style. Even though this is NOT the way I decorate my own home, (we love antiques) I find it tremendously inspiring to see her work. She has a fantastic eye, and through her I learned to appreciate the value of the SHAPE of objects and furnishings. I can't recommend it highly enough if you love good design.
ReplyDeleteAs for your books, the Cath Kidston one looks very attractive to me, as I have a vintage fabric fetish and it looks like eye candy!
I am glad I found your blog today, one link leading to another. Lots to see here. --Andrea

OHHHHHHHHHH I so want the pretty little pin cushion book, pretty please:)
ReplyDeleteI love books as well...especially decorating books. I have two old Martha Stewart books "How to Decorate" and "Good Things". I go back to them again and again. Especially the Good Things book...it has so many great ideas! I would love the Cath Kidson book because i love her cheery prints and colors! By the way I have no idea what the date is so I may have missed the deadline! I am a stay at home mom so I have no need for dates!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that little pin cushion craft book. It would be so cool to make my quilter friend in Australia one of those for our gift exchange.

I adore books too. I always feel so bad for the people on Clean House when they ask them to sell their books! I would love to have the Cath Kidston book although the pincushion one is a close second. And my favorite book? That's a tough one...I like Interior Alchemy by Rebecca Purcell quite a bit so let's go with it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love decorating books! I love to stick them on a shelf and "find" them months later! The Cath Kidston book would be my favorite. I love to go to that site!!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to win Country Living Storage Style!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book at the moment is an old Betty Crocker cookbook that I found recently for 50 cents at a church's book sale. I love looking at the illustrations and recipes - it reminds me of my Grandmom's cookbook collection.
oh, goodness, I should NOT have read this post, because not only do I not need to spend more money on lovely books, but I have no time to read them! but, if I were to win your giveaway, which I won't, because I never win contests, I'd love the pin-cushion book. (I already have the Kath Kidston, and several SL Christmas books)
ReplyDeleteI love books, too. And I love all things crafty and sewing. As for a favorite craft, well, that's pretty hard to choose. Unfortunately, I know it is not cooking (although great cookbooks make me WANT to like to cook). I would love the Pincushion book, though. Maybe I will actually get some early Christmas presents made!
ReplyDeleteI am torn because I would love the Country Living Storage Style or Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle because I love to sew. My favorite is a magazine too, County living.
