All or Nothing

Okay, well I'm an all or nothing kind of girl. You might already know that. When I'm excited about something, it consumes me. I hope that's normal. If not, please don't tell me. So here's what I want to share with you today, I've been flower shopping. Lots of flower shopping. Flowers are expensive. Why didn't you tell me? Please don't mention it to Sweet Hubby. I think he'd prefer to be kept in the dark.

Here's what I brought home today:

4 Autumn Joy Sedum
4 Kim's Knee high Coneflower for around the birdbath.

3 False Indigo for the back of the bed behind the picket fence.

Here's what I ordered today:

4 Turtlehead also for the picket fence.

3 Summer Blues Delphinium for the front of the picket fence bed.

2 Josephine Clematis for climbing on the picket fence.

And this is Jupiter's Beard which I'm thinking about getting. Do any of you have it? What do you think?
Sadly it's raining cats and dogs now and looks like it will be for most of the week. My plants are currently sitting in their sad little pots waiting to be placed in their new homes. I hope to have pictures next week of everything in its place. It's almost like this has become a gardening blog. Sorry if you hate gardening blogs. Knowing my attention span I will move on to something else by Friday.

  8. All or nothing! I am that way too. I am getting into gardening myself. It is expensave and risky because at least when you go to homegoods and splurge on something, it doesn't die the next week. Flowers are fickle. BUT, I love them.

  12. My grandma always said a little vinegar and water sprayed around the roses would get rid of the pests. Of course it's a little late for me to tell you this now. Great selections!

  15. I love the Turtlehead! I wonder if it'll grow in NS? Must check that out.

I L.O.V.E. flowers and gardens and planting ..... Right now, I have more flowers than garden. But hopefully, this weekend will change that. I've still got lots of uncharted territory to take under control!

  16. I have Jupiter's Beard and I love its cottagy look. You do have to watch out for seedlings/volunteers though. It spreads seeds everywhere and could overtake other plants if you're not careful. Thankfully, the seedlings are easy to recognize, so I just pull them out where I don't want them. Love the sedum! And clematis - devine!

  19. It just so happens that I love garden blogs. Especially yours. I planted a false indigo last year and it's just getting ready to bloom for the first time! I am so pumped. And I'm adoring your clematis. And perennials are expensive, but they are an Investment (cue italics). Next year you won't have to spend nearly as much! If you're like me, you still will, but you won't have to. :)
