I love cupcakes. I even belong to a secret sisterhood that you will one day hear more about and our official food is the humble cupcake. My favorite place to indulge is The Flying Cupcake which I've previously mentioned here and here. If you are within a days drive of Indianapolis, you must go. Call me, I'll meet you there.
I haven't been in awhile but since there is a birthday coming up in our house in 8 short days, there is a good chance I'll be gracing their door step soon. Doesn't that beadboard just make you swoon?
Here, just in case you wanted to see more.
I dream of owning a cupcake bakery, one of many dreams. Can you imagine having an excuse to collect gorgeous pedestals and to buy giant jars of sprinkles? Are you kidding me?
With the recent closing of the Village bakery, there is definitely a void to be filled.
All this cupcake talk has my tummy grumbling but sadly I can't spare the time to drive 20 minutes for a cupcake right now. Lucky for me this place just opened around the corner! After all, I need the energy to finish getting the house ready.
That camper is pretty sweet! I love cupcakes too. All the best on getting your house ready!
ReplyDeleteThat is so darling. I so wish I had one of those in my neck of the woods. Good luck with the house. Yes, you need to eat as many cupcakes as you can, gotta get your energy level up for the house!

ReplyDeleteLove all the photos especially that gorgeous chippy shelf and the Cupcake Camper - how cute is that! My daughter and I used to talk about opening up a little bakery too ☺ ~ Kate's nickname & specialty is cupKate's :-D.

That is the most adorable thing I've seen in a while! Hmmm... Maybe my town needs a Cupcake Camper?! lol
ReplyDeleteThe painted bead board is so girly-pretty! The cupcake camper is cool!! I would love to take a cake decorating class and learn how to do cute designs.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting your house all ready!
Oh my goodness, landsakesalive, I want to live in the cupcake camper. I'm almost weeping I want it so. I'm excited your listing is coming so soon! Oh Jen Jen, soon you will LIVE in the VILLAGE!

ReplyDeleteA cupcake camper?!? Who woulda??!
ReplyDeleteI loved this virtual cupcake visit.
And I have to tell you - Cory is on his way (unexpectedly) to Indy for the night. You have no idea how close I was to showing up at your door... Don't worry, I would have cleaned for food and a hug. ;)
MMMM...cupcakes delish!
ReplyDeleteA cupcake camper! What a fun idea. I think you deserve as many cupcakes as you can get your hardworking little hands on. Our small town bakery also went out of business (it was beyond fabulous and has left a huge void) and the building is sitting empty just waiting for a new owner with big dreams. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThat Cupcake Camper is simply adorable. I was just in Austin and these campers are everywhere selling tacos and pad thai and breakfast burritos, but no cupcakes! I can't believe Village Bakery closed. They were something of an institution. There used to be a cupcake shop at the back of the children's clothing store on Main. Is it still there??
ReplyDeleteomg, that cupcake camper is TDF!! i wonder if my husband would car if I did this to ours??? LOL!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the house!
xoxo, Tiffany
Just found your blog and am having a wonderful time reading. We have just moved into a "small" cottage, but am having a wonderful time. Just wish I had more time to decorate; I work at an accounting firm and with tax season upon us, we are so very busy. Look forward to seeing your plans for your future place.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love cupcakes (baking, decorating and eating!) and also have a dream of opening up a cupcake bakery! What fun!!
Robin
13 days???? Yikes-ola!

I love your blog! Those pictures are lovely of the cupcake place!!! I'm an international follower from Wales in the UK. Thanks for all the lovely photos :-)
ReplyDeleteJen, all your beautiful descriptions and photos make me want to move to your Village, and I don't even know where it is. Maybe I'll reopen the bakery and you could be the Cupcake Manager. So much fun and anxiety, moving. Breathe deeply, be well.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the cupcake camper! How much fun would that be to decorate on the inside?! How are the cupcakes?
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that you will have your house completely ready to list :)
Have a great weekend,
melissa

What a perfect idea for a club! My women friends and I often meet at the Cupcake Cafe in Minneapolis, only five minutes from my house. We also celebrate family birthdays with good friends and buy cupcakes...one of each...which we then fight over, divide into halves, fourths, etc. Great fun and the best food in the world! That camper is sooo cute!
ReplyDeletehey! i'm within and hour or so of INDY
