Summer is for the Birds

Thursday, a seemingly ordinary day. We spiffed ours up a bit with some watercolor pencil fun,

watching select episodes of Gilmore Girls, reading a couple of chapters of Little Women,

and capping it off with a brightly hued Margarita and dinner out at a Mexican restaurant to kick off our 4 day staycation.

After spending a good part of the summer feeling like I was coasting through, I am now doing my best to make the most of every moment. I'd like to be able to harness this make-the-most-of-it feeling every day.

  1. Can you send a bottle my way? I have been waiting all day to get into my craft studio and now that I'm here I'm having trouble getting a move on. A bottle of mojo would sure come in handy right about now! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. Enjoy the rest of your week, Patty

  6. That top watercolor of the birds would make a darling fabric don't you think? I know what you mean about making the most of the rest of summer. It's slipping away fast!

  10. Except for our trip to Nepal, we've had a staycation all summer long. Normally we would be in the States but this year, I had a feeling the summer would fly by and it has. My last day at school was June 14th and now I head back on 8/14, exactly two weeks from now. Nothing on my to-do list got done. Just a whole lot of crocheting and vegging. The rat race will begin again soon enough. Enjoy the down time. Best wishes, Tammy

  17. So, what are those select Gilmore Girls episodes? I'd love to know your favorites. My all time fave is probably the one with the Dragonfly test run.....Kirk running naked into the night is just priceless!
Hope you are still enjoying your last days of summer, JJ! I'm hitting my porch swing this afternoon. I'll take a book with me, but probably end up taking a nap!
