Soaring

The first night after I took my banner up to the store and posted about it here, I had a dream that nobody signed up for my class. It's nerve wracking to put yourself out there but jumping off the cliff to chase dreams seems to be part of my personality now. I can't even seem to help myself and each time I do it, I'm filled with a strange mixture of fear and joy and I just push through and I have yet to regret the jump. I've changed so much these past 3 years and here's what I know for sure, it's scary, this dream stuff, but worth every moment. I'm spreading my wings and I've never been happier.

Today I've tucked myself into the studio to make class kits. My class on January 30th is full but I've opened up a second class on Thursday January 31st in the evening from 5:30-7:30. There are 4 spots left and you can email me at thecottagenest@gmail.com if you would like more information.

I've also had some interest in kits and wanted to let you know that since I've had to schedule a second class I'm not sure how many kits I can make that are exactly like this, although I might be able to do an alternative one. If you are interested in one please email me and I will take those requests on a first come first serve basis based on my materials (and time!). I'm so excited and humbled by your enthusiasm. Thank you so much.

In other news, I've been revamping my studio now that it no longer doubles as a guest room and is all mine. I've decided that an inspiration board isn't enough and now I've started spreading the inspiration around the room. I can't wait to show you the rest after I get it cleaned up. Kits first though. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and find a few minutes in your day to be creative.

  7. I wish I could take your class!
So surprised and delighted when I saw the first picture today of you little bird with a gold crown....I have this little bird in my kitchen window on a little wooden bird swing with a little turquoise bow I attached at the top!!!
I didn't know there were more...I thought it was a little bird someone had added the gold glitter to as I found it in a lovely second hand shop!!!
    It always makes me smile!!!

  8. I am so happy for you Jen. You deserve for your dreams to come true. I just wish I lived closer - I would be signing up.

I know what you mean about the dreams being scary though. I have always dreamed of having a studio - of some sort. This has been an exciting but scary journey. A few weeks ago I was filled with so much doubt it was crazy. I kept thinking I made a mistake. Now I know it's the best thing. I am loving it already.

So here's to you and I chasing our dreams and loving every minute of it.

    xo!!
