Happy Friday! We finally have some Spring weather headed our way this weekend so I am very happy about that. Today I want to share some good for you favorites.
Yoga.
It is my new addiction. Every week if
possible. It is making a difference for my back, flexibility, strength
and posture. And it totally makes me feel peaceful which was a surprise
for this trying-to-reform type A personality girl.
This face wash.
I know. Avon? Yes, Avon. Maddie and I have both started using it and we're amazed by the results.
This cream:
I have very sensitive skin and have suffered from eczema my whole life and this doesn't aggravate it at all and is very soothing.
These pj's from Target.
I have a pretty serious pajama addiction. We love spending the not-so-occasional weekend day celebrating our love of jammies around here. These are only $12.99 and are so ridiculously comfortable.
You know what else is good for you? Taking some you time! I'm reading and loving Homespun Style by Selina Lake. Happy and colorful, page after page.
These are some of my favorites right now. I'd love to hear about some of yours and if you feel like blogging about them, come back by and leave a link in the comments. I love discovering new things.
In other news, I loved hearing about your traditions and heard a few I'd like to incorporate into our lives as well. Thanks so much for sharing them. The winner of my giveaway is another friend from the early days of blogging, Deb over at Posted from Home.
Love it, Jen. Your pjs image is not showing up though...but everything else looks great- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI'm totally on a hunt for those jammies and I want to take a look at that book- I see that Debbie Treloar photographed it and she is one of my favorites!!!
ReplyDeleteLike NanaDiana said, your pj's image doesn't appear. There's also a lot of weird coding of some sort showing up in various places in this post, too. Probably a problem with good ol' Blogger.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am SO with you on the yoga. I've been faithfully going to a weekly class for about 2 years now and it has helped tremendously with my low back pain. I herniated 3 disks a few years ago and tried everything for the pain. Nothing helped like yoga did.
And, like you, I have sensitive skin. I also have psoriasis on my knees and eczema on my forehead. The only "over the counter" cream I have found that I liked is the coconut body creme from Trader Joes. Otherwise, I use all-natural cremes and lotions. I think they're much better for anyone's skin in general, simply because they don't have all those chemicals in them. Take a look at the ingredient listing on the lotion you listed - egads! My mom makes all-natural soaps and cremes, so I get my stuff from her, but there's plenty of companies and businesses out there that sell these things nowadays. :-)
Yeah, the yoga pic and the PJ pic aren't showing.
ReplyDeleteMy fave PJs is a pair of adult-size footy pajamas- pale blue w/snowflakes! Awesome for days in, Christmas morning, camping... yeah!
Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite face and body cream is First Aid Beauty (from Sephora only) Ultra Repair Cream, I have rosacea and it is the only thing that sooths it. I mostly use it on my face only. I use a vitamin E lotion for my body.
okay...i may just have to try the facewash! your pj's are adorable...and we like pajama days around here too! (one of my favorite homeschool perks too!)
ReplyDeletei think i will add a favorite things post to the blog next week. i'll let you know. or i could tell you face to face in the near future ;)
hey jen!
ReplyDeleteyour friday favorites feature is my new favorite thing! looking forward to next week's picks!
my fav's for this week are:
snapchat: i know it's controversial, but my college daughter made the mistake of getting her daddy to download the app & teaching him how to use it. it has been an ongoing source of amusement for me to watch him annoy her with it! :)
my new cookbook: Sara Foster's Southern Kitchen. haven't made a thing from it, have just been reading it. i love it when a talented cook can weave a good story in with the recipes.
starting seeds inside: besides my cats eating the tops off of some of my seedlings (my husband calls this the cat salad bar), i am loving my indoor start on spring...it is so nice to be able to do a little gardening even when it's cold outside.
Hi Jen, Love your blog and favorites! I'm your newest follower and so happy I found you via Lynnie! I'll be back! My closest Target is an hour away BUT worth the trip : )

Pajamas for $12.99. Wow! Good deal! I bought a pajama set here at Marks & Spencer and it cost me 17 KD which is $50 bucks! For pajamas. Love that book. I like just looking at all the pretty pictures over and over again. Hope you are having a great week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteSo excited to be the lucky winner of your giveaway ~ thankyou xo
Love your Friday favourites list & pj's.
Love your jammies and the green tray/box sitting by your feet.
ReplyDeleteI am retiring in June and one of the things I am looking forward to most is being able to take yoga classes at our club. They don't offer them at night.
I buy my grown daughters pj's from target every Christmas and they look forward to them each year! ~amy
