This man is the kind of man I hope my girls will one day marry. He is thoughtful, generous, smart, funny, nerdy, talented and handsome. In the last 13 years he has always put his girls first. He is always here for us and I know that he always will be. I don't mean that in a taking for granted way but in a I know how dedicated he is to his family way. He is the kind of guy who leaves a sweet note next to a Mimosa while his wife is in the shower because he knows the day ahead promises to be a hard one.
He is the kind of man that lets his girls stay warm and dry in the store while he goes out to get the car. He is the kind of man who never complains if you ask him to stop on the way home from work to pick something up from the store. He is the kind of man that truly appreciates all his wife does for him and the family. He is the kind of man that goes out and buys his wife special new earrings to thank her for her part in his promotion. This man. I'm so glad he's mine.

ReplyDeletep.s. would love to write an essay about how wonderful my husband is to both our girls and to me, but, i'll keep it short and cite tonight when he grabbed the last two girl scout thin mints from the freezer and managed to stop before he crammed them in his mouth and offer them to me as an example of true love... :)!
He is definitely a keeper! Such a sweet post about your guy. I love stories like this. :) Kit
ReplyDeleteWhat I appreciate about this post is that it made me think. You are doing what we all should do - show how thankful we are for our loved ones. I'm so guilty of taking my husband for granted, and he's so giving, caring, and supportive. Thanks for reminding me, and congratulations on the promotion!
ReplyDeleteI would say....he is the lucky one! What a sweet wife you are to sing his praises, although I know he must deserve it! A good man is hard to find. (I found one many years ago). Truly refreshing to see a loving couple and a loving family. Congratulations on his promotion! xx
