While we are on the subject of organizing I thought I'd share this idea with those of you who are in the process of putting away your Christmas ornaments. I save empty egg cartons and use them for packing away my small breakable ornaments. As much as it kills me to put away these beautiful vintage ornaments, at least I know they will be well protected until next year.
I love that idea :) Now, where do I find the ostrich egg cartons to store the huge ornaments? ;) Your ornaments are beautiful!! I think I broke at least 5 just like them this year! hehe... I like the storage containers you were excited to get in the blog below. Are they up and being used??
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ornaments and GREAT storage tip!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great tip Jen and your ornaments look all shiny and cozy in their protective home. I always keep the styrofoam egg cartons to use as paint palettes for craft projects. A little dab of paint in the bottom stays contained and you can add water if needed to dilute the paint. Close the lid and no mess.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, that's a really good idea as the vintage decorations are so fragile! Hope you have a Happy New Year and I look forward to visiting your blog regularly in 2007 - hope you don't mind but I've added a link from my blog! Clare x
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Jen.....LOVE the colours of your ornaments.
ReplyDeleteHope you found lots of other storage ideas for your sort-out.

great idea! We splurged for the ornament boxes. I wrap the delicate ones in tissue first.
ReplyDeleteGREAT idea! Now to get all those eggs eaten for the cartons!
ReplyDeleteHere Here to the revolution!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything mentioned so far and added to my own list it looks like I will be busy revolting and resoluting all year. Oooohhhhhh I feel tired already .... time for a snooze.
Look forward to more wise words for 2007.
The very best wishes Ginny
I wish I had seen this post before putting away my huge collection of ornaments!!! The are wrapped in tissue and drowned in a huge box. Thanks for sharing this idea! Oh, what do you do with larger ones???
