Thrifty Thursday
Yep I have the thrifting bug. Seriously. I love the treasure hunt and have taken to planning my precious free time while Emma is in school so that I can swing by and browse at least every couple of weeks. Although, I have discovered recently that she loves it as much as I do and is always happy to go and look at the old stuff with Mommy. My favorite thing is finding a treasure that is sporting the magically colored tag that indicates that it is 1/2 off & on this particular day I was very lucky. A rose plate to hang on the wall in Emma's room $2. A baskets to hold extra toiletries for guests in the studio $2, an embroidered hand towel $1, a vintage linen table runner $1, A glass jar .50, a beautiful blue dinner bell to use at Em's birthday tea party $2 & a white pottery crock to hold my kosher salt $2. Not pictured is a lovely pink cardigan to take to Barcelona for $2 and an adorable Look and Find Winnie the Pooh book for Emma for .65. Good times.

ReplyDeleteI like the things you found. My post today was on things I've gleaned from charity shops. Maybe you can stop by.
ReplyDeleteBlessings.
coinscedence? i wonder...
ReplyDeletei just happened onto your blog for the first time, {{lovely}} i might add. and noticed, i blogged about the exact subject as you today. i love lurking in blogland, and realizing how alike we all really are.
Wow, those are some beautiful finds! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little finds! Baskets alwasy catch my eye and I have so many of them now - yet I still buy more! There's just something so warm and homey about a basket!
ReplyDeleteWow you did well. It seems that your thrift stores are so much better than ours in the UK. I find it hard to find any treasures and what I do find is pretty expensive. Maybe it's living in London and I would do better elsewhere. I just love that little rose plate you found and the basket. All so lovely.
ReplyDeleteThrifting is so much cheaper in the States!!
ReplyDeleteI love your basket. (That would be £5 here!)
And the embroidered linens are so pretty.
I love the lace table runner. I can't believe that was only $1. Every time I see someone post about thrift stores I want to run out and shop.
ReplyDeleteJen if I drive up can I go thrift shopping with you? I love all of your great finds and I know they all will find a special spot in your lovely home. RJ
ReplyDeletemy little thrift store is on the way to my kids' school...so I drive by and stop in whenever I get a chance. Isn't it fun? I love the vintage napkin you found!
