What's black and white and spooky all over? My inspiration for Halloween is all about the black and white with just a touch of orange this year. I hope you are enjoying getting your house Halloween ready & that these pictures inspire you to introduce more black and white. I'll have a few pictures to share of my version soon.
The top 4 pictures are from Country living and the last 3 are from Country Home.
I did mainly black and white with a little bit of orange this year. I don't do whole lot for Halloween anymore. Great inspirational pictures and I can't wait to see what fabulous thing you come up with.

I'm with you (of course I always agree with you), and I love this approach to Halloween. I'm all about the vintage Halloween, white pumpkins and crepe paper. I can't wait to get started...I'll probably drag out my stuff on Monday (after our Thanksgiving). I can't wait!!

ReplyDeleteHalloween decorating is not big in the UK, but I'm feeling inspired to buck the trend.

ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI did not know that.
I mean, that you are part swedish and part norwegian! That`s amazing! I am a Norwegian girl too you know :)
Are you born in Indiania? Do you still have relatives in Scandinavia? How interesting :)
I am happy that you found the pictures pretty, you are free to copy them :) I have also heard about that book you just bought, is it good?
I am not that into Halloween, guess it is more an American tradition. Enjoy your evening! Aina
I'm loving the black-and-white Halloween themes I'm seeing--never really thought of decorating in this way before. Thank you for sharing the pictures; they are inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love the monogrammed pumpkin! All the photos are great, Jen. Of course, as you know, I went with the traditional colors...but I do like the idea of black and white with a little orange. I'm going to make a note of that! Perhaps next fall.

I just love any type of writing on pumpkins! Beautiful Jen!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings:)

Great pics Miz. Jen!
ReplyDeleteThese decorating ideas are great. We don't really 'do' Halloween in Australia; it somehow doesn't make much sense when we are heading into summer and the weather is hot.
ReplyDeleteI love all these ideas. Who would have thought halloween could be so stylish?
ReplyDeleteLOVE these! They are some of my favorite Halloween magazine photos ever. I could look at them over and over again!
ReplyDeleteKari

I love the black and white! So stunning. I could look at those photos all day, and I think I will try to make one of those "book" Pumpkins, aren't they the cutest?

I love how sophiscated these decorations are, they definitely give inspiration.
ReplyDeletethanks!
the first photo is so striking. lovin' the black and white Halloween.
ReplyDeleteI love this color combination for fall too! Very inspiring pictures. I'd love to find a vintage card holder like the one in the middle one. I look everywhere but never see them. {Someday!}
ReplyDeleteI really, really love the black and white decorations! They look so vintage somehow!
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend!xx
I always enjoy your blog, Jen. Our tastes run along the same lines.

ReplyDeleteI love the look of black and white. I did a few items for Halloween in black and white. Wanted to go with the white pumpkins...but in the last second went with the traditional orange. I think after seeing the photo's I'll go get some white ones!
ReplyDeleteI do love the black and white look. Since I haven't even seen a pumpkin patch this year, I will probably have to stick to orange-- if they roll out of hiding. Even strange for So. Cal...

Say : ) Great design minds think alike! I have been loving the black and white holiday decor too! I love that white pumpkin with the "X" on it, reminds me of a burried treasure!

Hmm. how about my Cat/pumpkin garland with something spelled out on the white pumpkins instead of the jack-o-lantern faces or plain faces!
ooo, love those! Especially the "monogram" decorations.
ReplyDeleteJen, thank you for stopping by my blog. Your blog is lovely...I'm going to link to it on mine if that is okay with you. What inspirational H'ween photos! I need to drag my stuff down from the attic tomorrow and take stock of what I've got and what I need.
