Black & White- Spooky Inspiration

What's black and white and spooky all over? My inspiration for Halloween is all about the black and white with just a touch of orange this year. I hope you are enjoying getting your house Halloween ready & that these pictures inspire you to introduce more black and white. I'll have a few pictures to share of my version soon.

The top 4 pictures are from Country living and the last 3 are from Country Home.

  1. I did mainly black and white with a little bit of orange this year. I don't do whole lot for Halloween anymore. Great inspirational pictures and I can't wait to see what fabulous thing you come up with.

  2. I'm with you (of course I always agree with you), and I love this approach to Halloween. I'm all about the vintage Halloween, white pumpkins and crepe paper. I can't wait to get started...I'll probably drag out my stuff on Monday (after our Thanksgiving). I can't wait!!

  5. Great photos - very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

Halloween decorating is not big in the UK, but I'm feeling inspired to buck the trend.

  10. Hi Jen,
    I did not know that.
I mean, that you are part swedish and part norwegian! That`s amazing! I am a Norwegian girl too you know :)
Are you born in Indiania? Do you still have relatives in Scandinavia? How interesting :)
I am happy that you found the pictures pretty, you are free to copy them :) I have also heard about that book you just bought, is it good?
I am not that into Halloween, guess it is more an American tradition. Enjoy your evening! Aina

  12. I love the monogrammed pumpkin! All the photos are great, Jen. Of course, as you know, I went with the traditional colors...but I do like the idea of black and white with a little orange. I'm going to make a note of that! Perhaps next fall.

  14. These decorating ideas are great. We don't really 'do' Halloween in Australia; it somehow doesn't make much sense when we are heading into summer and the weather is hot.

  28. I love the look of black and white. I did a few items for Halloween in black and white. Wanted to go with the white pumpkins...but in the last second went with the traditional orange. I think after seeing the photo's I'll go get some white ones!

  29. I do love the black and white look. Since I haven't even seen a pumpkin patch this year, I will probably have to stick to orange-- if they roll out of hiding. Even strange for So. Cal...

Hmm. how about my Cat/pumpkin garland with something spelled out on the white pumpkins instead of the jack-o-lantern faces or plain faces!
