Hot diggity dog! The bookshelf is done. It took better than 4 years & now I don't know what I was putting it off for. Emma's room is really coming together and now I need appropriately colored bins for her shelves and new sheets with a cottage look in pink, red, and white possibly with a blue background like this set that I love from Pine Cone Hill. Love the sheets, not the price. There is a similar set on sale at PB Kids but I keep seeing them referred to as lavender and I'm looking for more of a pale blue or light aqua. Let me know if you have seen some that might work.
I'm all ready to start on her dresser except, that the new week has brought another sick child. Not just any 'ol sick child, but a teenaged one at that. In our house that can be challenging. I know many of you are dealing with sickness too. At least we have each other. This winter is just wearing me out. I'm afraid Sweet Hubby will get it next and that I'll be fresh out of patience, warmth and comfort.
Great bookshelf! And those sheets! Love them! Very cute and cottagy! Your daughter's room is going to be so darling!
ReplyDeleteI hope your other daughter is well soon!
I have a pair of pillow shams that I picked up from Goodwill. They are Ralph Lauren and look similar. I can't find a pattern name on them anywhere and have no idea how old they might be. They are a light blue/aqua and have some pink, red and yellow on them. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think there is a pillow like that at countrycurtains.com.

Me again! The pattern is Cottage Lane by Ralph Lauren. I found it on ebay.
ReplyDeleteTry ebay. It's my go-to place for getting normally overpriced bedding at budget prices.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Garnet Hill or The Company Store?

Jenn,
ReplyDeleteThe pineconehill line of bedding is worth every penny, lasts forever and gets better and softer and cozier with age than anything I have ever purchased. That pattern will take her into her teen years, for sure. Ive got Reagans bed decked out in it, and have 1 other set waiting in the wings, just for the heck of it.
You really will love it. The boys have pb on their beds and the quality isnt a quarter what PCH is. Trust me.

Love this! You have done a great job and I can't wait to see the finished project!
ReplyDeleteAre these the sheets you are referring to on pottery barn kids? I think they would look great!
