I know you think we should have moved on from Valentine's Day by now but I wanted to share these 2 wonderful packages I received that day. The first was this vintage display stand that I bought from Jerusalem after seeing it on her blog. I just had to have it. I love things that can be used for display, always thinking in the back of my mind that I will one day have a store or a booth somewhere to use them. In the meantime, you can see how versatile and functional it is. Whatever it is. If any of you have any guesses, I'd love to hear them. It even comes apart into 3 pieces. I also got a wire flower frog from her. I've been wanting one forever and she knew that and found me one at a flea market. What a sweetie!
The 2nd suprise I received that day was from Gabrielle at the Home, Be Inspired Every Day blog who generously sent me these blue/green mason jars after reading about my love for them on my blog. The one on the right is enormous. I have never seen one that size. Wish I had better light for a picture this morning. I can't wait to add them to my collection. They will look right at home in my studio. Thank you so much Gabrielle!
We have the day off and Sweet Hubby stayed home from work so we can take the little one to The Children's Museum. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Do you think it held your receipts in a dry cleaner store for all the people who always forgot them?? (No tickie, no shirtie??) I am wondering!
ReplyDeleteOh the stand looks so great with the cards - and the jars are so beautiful! How sweet! PS- I nominated you for a little award today on my blog!
ReplyDeleteNow this woke me up out of a coffee fog this morning! That stand is so cute and I too share an affinity for blue/green glass. You have excellent taste, as usual! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh ...what great goodies you got from your blogging friends on your special day :o) Have fun at the museum!!

I love that stand...where can one buy that? I also love the Indy area---oldest son went to Butler!

What lovely gifts, Jenn! The stand is one of the nicest I've seen (love the proportions) and the jars, well...I am just a sucker for that color! Sounds like you had a great V-Day and that the love has rolled right into Monday...gotta love that!
ReplyDeleteLove the stand, it looks so cute with all the paper hearts. You come up with some of the sweetest ideas.
ReplyDeletethat stand is so pretty and rustic...I like how you put the hearts in it..the contrast of the paper and the iron. Glad you are enjoying your jars...the water looks pretty in them with flowers..it's a very interesting color. huh?
ReplyDeleteI love the display stand Jen. The blue jars are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteInteresting stand. I love what you did with it and hope you'll share more pictures of it as you decorate for the different seasons. I'm wondering if it's a bill/mail holder. Perhaps it comes from a post office or a school. Do you have a date for it?

In reading your earlier post...have you seen the new *bella rose* bedding by Rachel Ashwell yet. They are a pretty pale aqua (sea) blue with roses. I want some!!! Maybe they will work for you.
ReplyDeleteThose are both great finds. I found some of those aqua jars last year yardsaling & sold them in my shop. Almost wish I hadn't now! Love the color of them.

The stand is a great find! Nice touch decorating it with the hearts. . .
ReplyDeleteI love display items too. Seems like I am always displaying things and you can never have enough stands for them all! Very nice! Amy
ReplyDeleteA local store had the same vintage stand as part of their Christmas display a couple of years ago. I wanted it so badly! :) But, when the cashier asked the manager, he wanted an arm and a leg for it, which as much as I loved it, I couldn't justify at Christmas time! Lucky you to find such a pretty display stand! {I've often wondered what it was used for, myself...} I'm always optimistic about junk, and hope that I'll see one again someday!
ReplyDeleteFinally got time to stop by and catch up on your wonderful blog.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that display stand!!
Love the mason jars! Will you use them as sun catchers?
ReplyDeleteI love the stand! So pretty!
