Happy Hundred

I just got my check from BHG for the challenge. 100 smackaroos. I could be sensible and put it in savings but I'm feeling like having a little fun. It got me thinking, what would you spend an extra $100 on right now that would be just for you?

I'm trying to decide between some of these options.

A camera to keep in my purse at all times. It would require a little extra but definitely worth it.
A shopping spree that is all about me.

A GPS device because I am majorly navagationally challenged & I could use it next week when I drive to the country to visit my new blog buddy Shannan. It would also require a little extra. Sense a theme?

Because I need it.
What's that you say? All of the above?

  1. I say the camera! You have such a creative eye that I am sure you could share a lot with us. Guess I'm just selfish!

  5. I vote for a shopping spree at Anthropologie!

  6. Hey Jen-I have that exact camera that I keep in my purse at all times!!! It's great to have this camera in your purse for special moments like seeing that special something in your favorite shoppe. You might consider the "flip" camera.....it seems like a lot of gals like that one. Good luck!

  10. Hands down...you will not be disappointed in the Canon Digital Elph!!! (Three exclamation points for the three years I've kept one in my purse and in my pocket). Great setting options, easy interface to use, beautiful color. It's something you can create with every day and will last you for years. :)

  11. What a tough decision! Just ask yourself which of these things you'll still be using on a regular basis 2 years from now. If you're anything like me, your answer is the little digital camera! I was given just such a camera a couple of years ago and now I can't remember life without it.

Note that I have a GPS, a Wii, and I adore Anthro. Yet if I could have only 1 of the things from your list, I'd pick the camera in a heartbeat.

  12. Oooh, I would want one of each - but I say Anthropologie. Seriously, take yourself to a nice lunch, get a pedicure, and then head on over to Anthropologie and get yourself a pretty little something. True...that whole scenario would cost well over $100, but wouldn't it be heavenly? Besides...you deserve it!

  13. Out of your choices, I am going for Anthropologie......but if it were me, I think I today I would choose to go with HeddyShea to the spa, I need a pedicare and some highlights. :-)

  14. No Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii! (Those extra i's are to indicate my whiny tone...)

A free $100 bucks is hard to come by, so make it something super fun! I got the same amount for my b-day to spend on whatever I wanted and I had so much fun daydreaming about what I would buy and making lists that my day has come and gone and I haven't spent a dime.

And, btw, who is this lucky Shannan chick who scored a visit from you??

  15. Hmmm. May sound completely dull, but I would spend a good portion of it on plants.

Yep. Plants. Perennials, annuals, trees, vines. You can bring them with you if you move.

They reproduce without any more $ or incentive...they just do it.

Then in a year or two you get the dividends of dividing those suckers (literally).

Talk about return on your investment!

  17. I'm the outlier here. I say the GPS device! I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine! I am seriously directionally impaired and it has truly given me a freedom and sense of security on the road I never knew possible.

If you too share this directional impairment, consider that GPS!

  24. Dude... the EA Active for sure! I have had mine sine June 5th and my clothes are already feeling better on me! It's totally worth it!

  25. I say either the camera or Anthropologie. The other two are too practical. Splurge, you deserve it!

  26. A camera for you purse would be cool!
I just had a garage sale to get rid of a bunch of stuff and I made $75.....guess what I spent it on? More stuff! I went to my favorite antique mall, then I hit a few thrift shops. Nothing like cleaning out only to add more! :)

  27. By now you may have spent the cash...but I vote for the camera....but that should come out of the family money.

I mean Anthropologie...no, clothes shouldn't have to come out of prize money.

    I mean the Wii...no, that's exercise.

    I mean...sorry I can't help. I could spend a 100 dollars a million ways. I spend that easily everytime I walk in Target.

Happy spending, however you do it!

I am so proud of you for participating in the contest.

  28. Wow, well I would say the navigation system if you really need it. I have no sense of direction and so I needed one so bad! Mapquest and Google Maps are wrong so often that I was getting terribly lost, I do a ton of driving. If you do too then get it! If you don't drive to new strange places that often then Anthropologie LOL. I have Wii Fit not Active, but got bored and over it eventually, you know? As with most video games.

    All the best,
    Allison

  29. the camera, to be sure. when the stuff you buy at anthropologie is long gone, you'll still have the photos you took with the new camera.

  31. I say the camera. I have one that lives in my purse. And I'm so happy to be able to capture my girls anytime I want.

  32. Oh, Anthropologie all the way! After all, if I can't go, then you should! Just be sure to share what you picked out!

    Cheers,
