Emma invented this treat all on her own a few years ago. I'm thinking she has a future ahead of her in the kitchen.
Take 1 Fudgestripe cookie and top with one large marshmallow.
Microwave just until the marshmallow begins to expand. Remove and top with another cookie.
Enjoy your sticky, gooey smookie. Repeat as necessary.
mmmmmm
ReplyDeleteEllen is our resident "s'mores maker"...I'm bookmarking this!
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Oh yum. I can't resist a s'more or anything close to it LOL.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Allison
What a brilliant idea! I think you will need to repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat...etc. :)

ReplyDeleteSheer genius I tell you! How clever.....I think we will try that tomorrow night with the kids. Have you ever heard of "Cookie Salad" made with those same cookies? Crazy good!
ReplyDeleteOH---those look addictive! I might need a 12 step program after some of those. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteSmookies! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh good god, woman. You have no idea what you've done...
ReplyDeleteGotta try those!! Tell Emma thank you. And ask her if she plans to continue inventing things?
ReplyDeleteThanks to Emma we have been eating smookies for years
ReplyDeleteYum-Oh!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe use those cookies for s'mores at the neighborhood fire! Chocolate and "cracker" in one. Great idea in the microwave, though!
ReplyDeleteEmma is a very smart girl. And, they are cute too. If it's cute, you've gotta eat it, doncha know :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm...sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that smookies would have to be repeated quite often. Great idea that we will definitely have to try!

Great alternative to smores!

I posted about this creative dessert on my blog. My readers thought it was genius too! ;)
ReplyDeleteJust met you through Kathy's Cottage. And I love this idea. I am a big roasted marshmallow smore lover and this sounds even better than the graham cracker and hershey bar mess. We'll be roasting marshmallows tomorrow night so I need to go get some of these cookies. Thanks. I'll be following you again.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big s'mores fan, but those are very tempting.
ReplyDeleteohhh, I gotts try these!! yummy!
ReplyDeletexoxo, Tiffany
OMG, that looks DELICIOUS! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh Emma, would you come be my personal chef??? Not sure I'd ever make it past the Fudge Stripe Cookies! I can't say no to those pesky little elves! They're so stinking pushy.
ReplyDeleteWe can't even keep them in the house because I have NO will power when it comes to that cookie!
And what in the world is a cookie salad (as posted by Spencer Family 6). I MUST have that recipe!!!
Oooh this looks so much better than a traditional smore to me as I don't really like graham crackers. I'm so trying this later in the summer!
ReplyDeleteoh yum. a modern take on the smore.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS!!!!! This is so cute and fun for kids!!! Thank you for sharing. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy boys do that same thing only they heat both cookies. Even if you buy cheap dollar store cookies heat them a little and some taste homemade.
