Pickin and Grinnin

We've been busy around here with Vacation Bible School, company and working on our summer fun lists. This weekend we took Emma's cousins that were visiting to our favorite You Pick Farm.

This is what you do expect to find when you are picking strawberries.

This is what you don't expect to find while picking strawberries.

The strawberries were sweet but the puppy was even sweeter.

Thank you all for filling up Maddie's soul with all of your encouraging comments and suggestions. It was very sweet of you to take the time to say such sweet things and it meant a lot to her.

P.S. If you would like to check out what is going on at the BHG challenge it should be wrapping up. Is it just me or does it seem like it's been going on for about 27 years now?

  6. This takes me back to my childhood, picking strawberries at out local PYO and eating as many as we picked. Very naughty! I don't see so many of them around here now as there were 30 years ago which is a great shame as I think it's such a fun thing for kids to do especially to realise that fruit grows and doesn't just come in plastic containers at the supermarket. The little dog is very cute.

  14. you daughter is beautiful. we love to go pickin', too. it's fun to come home with almost-too much fruit and "have to" bake something to use it all!

ever consider getting local press about your BHG news? maybe it would get you lots of votes. just the PR-chick in me. if you would like to and need any help, just send me an email.
