Ready for the Challenge
For as long as I can remember I have loved journaling. I love the process of picking out a new book, of choosing just the right writing implements, of sitting in a quiet place with my thoughts and of putting them down on paper. I do this religiously for about 1 1/2 days. And then I never think about it again until I see a new journal that I just must have. I've decided to push myself to break the cycle and I've signed up for Teresa McFayden's Write Time, Write Place E-Zine. I'm thinking that combining art with my thoughts will be enough to keep me coming back for more. Do any of you creative girls want to take up the challenge with me?

That looks very interesting. It reminds me of "Post Secret" have you heard of that? Check it out if you haven't, it's really neat. :)

ReplyDeleteI think this is the perfect summer assignment for myself! I've been so focused on filling the KIDS days of summer... what about ME??
I just hopped over to teresas and bought it! THANKS!! shell
oh, I am SO there! I am exactly the same way when it comes to journaling ~ I start strong & somehow lose steam. the unfortunate thing? I'm never so clear in the brain as when I'm writing my thoughts regularly & yet I don't make the time to do it.
ReplyDeleteI kept a journal when I was young and now I kind of consider my blog my journal in a way. But something beautiful to write my really intimate thoughts would be nice. Good luck with your new goal:)
ReplyDeleteLove your daughter's "bucket list"...I love making one each summer with my 8 yr old and seeing if we can get it done!
ReplyDeleteI'll enjoy watching your journaling!
I had to think about this challenge for a few days, because I feel like I journal on my blog, to some extent. But I love fresh paper and new journals, in particular the blue-lined black and white memo books. I have a couple dozen from last year's back to school sale (LOVE), and I think one would be put to good use as a gratitude journal. Thanks for the idea, Jen.
ReplyDeletei would love to whip out a fabulously inspiring journal too!! i love pam g's and teresa's style. last year i signed up for the writetime journal but haven't finished...thinking i was in a creative slump. but i've got the itch again & hope to keep up this summer.
ReplyDeleteits a wonderful wonderful journal that she walks us through!
can't wait to see yours jen
