Summer for my girls is more than half over already so naturally my mind begins to turn to thoughts of school supplies. Mostly these are school supplies I want for myself. Frankly, my favorite part of going to school was the supplies and I never outgrew that.

I absolutely love stationery! pity when i was a kid, we never did have all these pretty options
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that I'm not the only one still hooked on school supplies!! The truth is, I never really liked school, just the supplies!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved, and still do, shopping for school supplies. With all the fun stuff these days I find it hard to resist when I'm at the store! Can't wait til I have a little one going to school so I can fuel my obsession that way!
ReplyDeleteOoohhh...I love them too!!! I miss the days of buying all of these items for my kids!!!
ReplyDeleteYou picked some darling goodies!!! I love the bags!!!
Enjoy!!!
XOXO

I get so excited when the school supplies come out at the store. But then I don't want summer to end.

Oh, I'm a total nerd when it comes to school supplies. I LOVE them. The smell of the supply aisle or stationery store, the textures of everything, and best of all...all the different varieties.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Denise!!! That comment made me laugh.
School supplies, stationery, any paper, new pen, journal, anything like that makes me giddy!
However, I hate back to school (again, totally agree with Denise!) I'm sad to see my kids go back to school. But, we have fun shopping for supplies and I think they love them (at least Lauren does) as much as I do. But then again, she and the boys love school too. Which is a good thing.
I too, love school supplies. Since my retirement from teaching, I find I need my "fall fix" and just have to buy some new markers and note book. One of my sweet grandchildren will start kindergarten on Thursday. The school district she attends is year round. Thanks for sharing.

That first picture is divine! And what a fun business plan! :)
ReplyDeleteReading this makes me want to make a school supply list just for me. I still have a hard time not buying the big box of Crayolas! Have fun purchasing yours!

I loved getting school supplies when I was younger and still do. It's so much more fun now though!
ReplyDeletei'm with ya girlie!
ReplyDeletewe love school supply shopping around here too.
did you see the sprite/dietcoke/coke wooden pencils in the dollar bin at target? ridiculously cute, especially for this atlanta girl.
ps..target also has very cute bubble gum pink and pretty tiffany blue 3 ring binder.

Oh - so good to know that I'm in good company. There's nothing like a new notebook and pen. I still indulge regularly! I should journal, then I'd have something great to use my beautiful notebooks for. I have a son who started grade 1 last year, so I was so excited to shop for supplies with him. Hubby came along... they both told me I took too much time picking out his folders he needed for school. Apparently the blue one is the same as the "Cars" one. "Does it really matter?", they asked. I can see hubby not really caring, but I thought Spencer would be excited. He is starting now to take more interest. Maybe this fall we will have to leave Daddy home for this kinda shopping and we can spend lots of time looking at all of it!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I was in Target yesterday, and they have their school supplies in and it took everything in me not to go play with the pencils! My one and only school girl starts her second year of college soon... I really miss the trips to the store to get new basics. Now she needs $100 books, expensive oil paints and fancy brushes... not nearly as much fun (for me!).
ReplyDeleteI love school supplies!! It makes me want to organize everything for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI love all those beautiful markers!
ReplyDeleteI eagerly await the school supplies coming out each year! We have 9,000 crayons in this house, but I find it hard to resist a new box! I must admit, though, that I now buy the pre-boxed supplies through the school for my kiddos so that I can focus on perusing the fun stuff for myself!
ReplyDeleteI love, love school supplies! Favorite memories of buying them. And what fun now! There are so many cute, preppy supplies!!
ReplyDeleteI can spend so much time and so much MONEY in stationery stores. Staples and I are having a secret affair:)
ReplyDeletei am right there with you.
ReplyDeletei loved school supplies growing up, i loved thick new notebooks with marvy pens in college, and i love it all now! great photos.
you are the source for awesome shopping!
xo
Thats so true.. However , when i was little I hated school supplies and I only bought the simplest ones ( lucky parents ha ) .. Now I'm over the moon when I go into any stationery or art store .. its like disneyland !
ReplyDeleteI am so totally with you about school supplies. New notebooks with clean, fresh paper. Sharp pencils, new bags, crayons, folders. Yah, so with you on your school supply crush :)

ReplyDeleteOh, how I love See Jane Work! I curse the day I found their website...and Russel & Hazel.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with school supplies, though. And office supplies. I'm such a nerd. Even as a kid, I LOVED office supply stores (and hardware stores) ~ just think of the possibilities to create! I used to even spend my own money on my school supplies, I was THAT excited to get them. Yeah, I'm really, really a nerd.
oh my gosh those are cute!!! school starts early for us at our charter school - next Monday!! So exciting to start my new job and buy myself new school supplies!
ReplyDeleteWe couldn't resist today either!! fun stuff! Where did you get the caran dache? have you used those before? your daughter will LOVE using them in her artwork, they are super fun to use!
ReplyDeleteSo very true for me too!!! I loved getting new school supplies and hated when everything started to get bent and used. I was just in the school supply section and I didn't even have a need to be there. Cute crushes!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Boy....you always seem to be one step ahead of me. I guess I should be crushing on that too. OY.
ReplyDeleteThese school supplies made me very eager to go back to school. LOL
ReplyDeleteHi --
ReplyDeleteI think you might like the kraft paper bookcovers I started making this year -- They're updated and slightly design-y versions of the paperbag book covers we used to make as kids. Great for school, for book clubs, for trips. We just released our first Artists Edition, which are pretty cool. bookcityjackets.com
