I have a confession. We looked at a house last Friday in the Village. We fell in love. I've been unable to stop thinking about it. Of course who knows if we'll be able to buy it. A lot of things would have to fall in line in order for that to happen. We'd have to sell this house, make enough money from the sale for a down payment, have that one stay on the market til Spring, have them accept our offer, pass inspection blah, blah, blah.
Complicated, huh? Of course it's not complicated enough to keep me from imagining what I would do to that house. I'm collecting ideas in my head. Here's what my daydreams look like today. And if nothing else, at least we know it's possible to find something in our price range that makes our hearts soar.
I hope it works out for you!
ReplyDeleteOoh which house is it? If it makes you feel better the 2 people I know with houses for sale in the village have been for sale for 8 months and 13 months. You never know... dreams do come true!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!..LOVE your 'daydream' pics!!..Lacy
ReplyDeleteIf it's meant to be, it will still be on the market when you are ready! Have fun looking at homes, that is the best part. Well, besides the moving in and decorating that is. ;)

How beautiful! I just love the name The Village, even before I scrolled down to see the adorable place, I knew it was going to be good!
ReplyDeleteJen this is when you know its a small world. If it's the Stokely house (Andy & Melissa) I totally know them- well I've met them, I know Andy's mother well! That house has been for sale for a long time- that was one of the ones I was talking about. They had it listed with a realtor until recently and it went to for sale by owner. Here's my email if you want to chat more!

Sometimes everything falls into place .. you'll sell your current house quickly at a really good price, the other house will still be on the market. You will move in and live happily ever after.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, I hope it stays on the market and you are able to sell yours quickly.
ReplyDeleteThese steps look Koooolll! Thanks, Jennifer
ReplyDeleteah, wonderful pictures, so dreamy...hope it happens for you, i know that feeling so well. we have been in our house for about three years now...came back to our small town after moving to the city (not even a big city at that). it took us a year to find a house and sell ours. i love being back in our small town, also dream of living in a place where there are mostly old farm houses...for now, i am thankful for being where i am...hope you get that too. jules
ReplyDeleteI have had some complicated real estate transactions like the one you described. But, the good news is.......things actually fell into place and it happened! Don't give up the faith! Pray about it and you will be surprised how everything works out in God's perfect timing!
ReplyDeleteHello Jen, totally agree with you, how beautiful this is!!! My best wishes for you for the house you have in mind!!!
