While many of you are out hitting the Black Friday sales, I will be Colorful Friday shopping. Since I really don't have any more Christmas shopping to do, I'm headed to the flea market, where among other things, I will be searching for more vintage tins to add to my studio storage collection. And maybe Sweet Hubby will get a chance to start shopping for me. I'm trying to imagine a present I would like better than an old tin filled with vintage pom poms. Better than jewelery I tell ya.
Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday. I have decided to never eat again. Well at least not until that stuffing and egg breakfast casserole comes out of the oven in about 30 minutes.
You and your tins! I am insanely envious of the whole lot of 'em. :) And I hope you get that Holy Grail tin filled with vintage pom poms. Sounds heavenly! Hope your Thanksgiving was a yummy one, friend.
ReplyDeleteHave fun & be sure to share your finds. I wish that we had a flea going on around here today!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful tins, good luck find a few more!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your flea market galavanting. I hope you find something fab. I think a stuffing and egg casserole recipe may need to be shared...no rush though, as it will be weeks before I'm hungry again. Happy vintage hunting!
ReplyDeleteeither you changed some things about your blog or I finally had a moment to notice them? probably the latter, but no matter what, they are pretty.
ReplyDeleteand if really nothing has changed about your blog, please forgive me, I am having a WEEK!!! :-)

Jen, Doug & I went to the Holiday Market here in Bloomington this a.m. and I found a pr of earrings I wanted & I said "do you want to get these for me for Christmas?" there was this lady standing between us and she laughed and looked at Doug & said "yes, the answer is yes, you want to get those for her." He told me to keep walking and that he MIGHT get them for me. ;-) hugs, Cheryl

Oh yes, if I were to go shopping on Black Friday, it would be to a flea market or an antique store! Smart choice! :) I am loving your vintage tins! They are all so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful AND your weekend, too! :)
Jen,
ReplyDeleteWas hoping that you and your daughter still wanted to be in the Little BIT's Ornament Swap. I don't have your email address so I couldn't send you an email with questionaire. Can you please email me by Monday Nov 30th? rumcraft@kc.rr.com
Blessings,
Sheila and Janna
I love it that you are out galavanting at flea markets when everyone else is out in the Black Friday madness. I was at the Field Museum in Chicago on Black Friday. It was a mess as well!
ReplyDeleteLove tins! I'm always on the lookout for them. I got one for .50 at Salvation Army last week. An old DeMets candy tin, deliciously vintage and crackled.
Love it.
Happy Days to you Jen.
I have that pink tin!!! I believe it came from Sears when I was a kid, with fruit cake in it (because that's where most of our tins came from). My mom used it for sewing things for years and years and I keep my cookie cutters in it now!
