The Happy, Happy, Spring Post

Londen at Sixty-Fifth Avenue was sweet enough to give me the Happy 101 award and while I tend to be terrible about these things, today I thought I'd play along in celebration of the beginning of March. Long live Spring! So without further ado 10 things that are making me happy today, in no particular order.
1. Good mail including my copy (finally!) of Flea Market Style and the new Anthropologie catalog.

2. My house going up for sale in 9 days.

3. Seeing an end to all of the work I've been doing.

4. The tiny 1000 square foot cottage with an 8x10 master bedroom that Sweet Hubby thought we should rent for a year, being leased by someone else.

5. The imminent arrival of flip flop weather.

6. Emeril's Pasta Frittata recipe. I may never look at pasta the same way again.

 7. Tokyo Milk products that I won from this sweetie.

8. Real live birds chirping in the trees.

9. Snow that is almost melted away.

10. A lightness in my heart, a spring in my step and an excitement about the future.

Okay, I know that last one was actually 3 things but you know me. What's making you happy today?

  1. I can definitely relate to #1 - I just received that Anthropologie catalog, too, and a Cath Kidston catalog a few days before that, bought a new "Cottage Style" magazine at the supermarket yesterday, and my copy of "Flea Market Style" is on the way! Yippee!
Oh - and I'm going to be at Disneyland three weeks from now - that makes me happy, too!

  3. Your thing about the tiny leased rental cracked me up. :) Also, I just bought that exact bottle of Tokyo Milk bubble bath for Sarah for her b-day. (She's a nightly read-in-the-bathtub girl...)

Thanks for your love/thoughts/prayers. Keep 'em coming.

ps- Did you get my notice last week that I almost showed up at your doorstep? You better thank your lucky stars that it didn't work out...especially since you had family coming in! (My timing is usually impeccable like that...)

  5. Happy Monday!

I think what made me happy today is my sweet Kota dog, my dear husband and of course having God in all I do.

I had a good day at work, even though I am getting over a dumb head cold and still feeling a bit blahh.. but at least it's not keeping me down.

    GOd Bless

  6. Great list. My happy today was spending the day cleaning up my flower beds. It was sixty degrees and glorious. And I'm happy on your behalf for those awesome renters who beat you to the 1000 square foot cottage.

  8. It is a grey and rainy morning here...I am curled under a down linen duvet with a cup of spicy mayan coffee and reading blogs...for a bit. All is right with the world.

  9. Hi Jen! Love your 10 things! I'm laughing at your rental being leased to someone else! I will think of my 10 things and maybe blog it! :)
But for today I am happy that I am going to MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) and also that we are making our exterior decisions as we speak on the new house!!! :)

  10. So glad to pop over and find you all up in Spring and happy. My happy thing today is frozen blueberries and the sun, that is BATHING my house in light right now. Where has it been hiding the last two months!?

  11. I am so with you about the flip flops. I moved from Florida to northern Kentucky in November, and I haven't seen a flip flop since. I love them and wear them everyday in Florida but they have been replaced with Uggs:(

Snow melting is another one I agree on:)

  14. I like your reasons. . .some of mine are: the fact that my girls recognize and love the smell of Spring, that my hubby has been very helpful in the kitchen, and that there are so many fun, beautiful blogs to visit-yours included!
