Serenity. Today our Spring break ended and it's very quiet in my house. Almost too quiet. Don't tell my family I said that. I kind of feel like I don't know what to do with myself. I'm not sure why that is. There is plenty on my need to do list. The problem is I'd rather be doing stuff on my want to do list.
This weekend I finally broke down and got a new phone. Mine was 3 1/2 years old which we all know is 127 in cell phone years. After a year of research, because I must research to death every major purchase, (and a lot of the minor ones too) and being told 33 times by my Sweet Hubby to get the phone already, I got an iphone 4s. I have to admit it's very user friendly for someone who is technology challenged like me. Now I'm on a mission to find the very best apps. Clearly I've discovered Instagram (the picture above is the dogwood on the side of my house this morning) but I'm wondering what are some of your favorite apps? I also need to get a phone cover ordered asap so if you have any recommendations for that I'd love to hear them also!

Hey Jen ~ I don't have an iPhone (don't want one right now either), so I'm no help with that. Just popping in to say hello...it's a beautiful spring day here in northern IL and my house is quiet right now, too, as my hubby's at work and my 21-year old son is still sleeping! (He'll be up in a few min. to get ready for school. He commutes to a nearby college.) I work outside my home on Tues, Wed., and Thurs. so today is another "free" day for me. Like you, there are SO many things I could be doing ~ but I just don't feel like it! I think I'll run up to Target and get a few needed things and see what Easter candy is left, that's on sale. ;-) Then I will come home and exercise (yes, I really will!) and work on some scrapbooking. Sound good? Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI have an iphone and I LOVE mine! Few of my favorite apps are: Mapquest (green square with ma on it) - it will pinpoint where you are and speak out loud with the directions... Pinterest... Pandora (free music app)... Facebook... Nook... CardStar (this lets you put all of those loyalty/reward cards on your phone so you no longer have to have all those little cards dangling on your keyring)...

SO jealous! Enjoy! I do have the new iPad and I love the Pixler app. It is a cool photo app as well. I use Pixlr.com for my blog and it's basically the same thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat do I have, app-wise? BBC News, Blogger, Etsy, Flashlight (which is really neat because it turns your phone into a flashlight), Flipboard, Hipstamatic, Instagram, Houzz, Mapquest, NPR, Pandora The Weather Channel, Urbanspoon and MLB At Bat.

isn't it sooo fun. i love it. i need to use instagram more often. i don't use too many apps. i like postal pix where you can print your instagram pix. handy level. starbucks and cartolina for sending text cards. and i think your tree looks beautiful right by your house.

If you are like me, you will find out that you love to take pictures with your iPhone more than your camera. Besides it being SO easy, the quality is unbelieveable. Some camera favorites: Hipstmatic (worth the $$), Pocketbooth (loads fun), PuddingCam (my favorite today over Instagram and it's FREE) and Camera+ (cool sharp Pics). Pandora is a must for music, Pinterest for killing more time you don't have and JO-Ann's so you have free coupons on your phone when it's time to go shopping! :) Must be useful too. Have fun exploring!

ReplyDeletelisten to Pandora on it, I use it to listen to my favorite radio stations at I Heart Radio..& on and on.
I also love Pocketbooth (FUN) Of course I use it for facebook and Words with Friends and twitter, Craigslist, Etsy and Kindle...oh my dear, I could go on and on.
I use an Incipio "stowaway" for my case. It holds my credit card and driver's license and some $ or a spare check securely under a little flap on the back. Very protective and I always have my phone with me so it is a better bet for me than my wallet!
