And another week is half over. I don't know what's it's like where you are, but it's brutally cold here. I really like Winter but even I am in hibernation. That's probably for the best though as I've much to keep me busy here. I'm trying to finish class kits, taxes and our Village newsletter. All these things are conspiring to keep me from completing many projects.
I did manage to finish hanging these plates. What I mean by that is, I managed to convince my ever-so-patient husband to hang them and then move them and them move them some more. I'm loving the color and pattern they bring to the room and look forward to growing my collection. Am I the only one wishing for a white television? Is that a real thing? One of my goals this year is to finish some projects that will really give our house personality. This is just the beginning!
The plates look perfect there!!
ReplyDeleteLove the plate arrangement!...Back in the 80's I had a small white Sony television that was as cute as a television can be. They really should give more options, but I think they're designed to attract men. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your plates over the television. How beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA white tv would be great!! hmmm....
I love the plates and the architectural fragment. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteLove this Jen! It looks great.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Sweet patient hubby you must have!
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for ideas on how to minimize the look of the big TVs we have now (and mine is only 37"). I saw one that had been framed in like a picture that looked OK, but I would still like to come up with a solution that would keep it out of sight when not in use. Love the plates!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous plates and arrangement of them! I agree with Vada: I plan on framing our tv in when we move this spring, and if you look on pinterest, I have found that one can find alot of framing-of-tv ideas. Yours would look especially pretty framed in the same looking wood as the kind above your plates! :D
ReplyDeleteI much prefer looking at your gorgeous plates than the big, black box myself! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your plates and architectural piece! Here is a link to Apartment Therapy where they show a bunch of white framed tv's.

Looking good.
ReplyDeleteLove the old header and plates on the wall. Looks so good to play off the door color too.
ReplyDeleteI to want a white TV. I seen one about 2 years ago at Sam's club but haven't seen one since.
ReplyDeleteLove the plates and the piece of wood over them! Where did you find it (the wood piece)? I'm looking for something like that for my kitchen.
ReplyDeletegosh, i so adore your style ...

Well, you know I painted my black TV white? lol Of course it was not nearly as nice as your model...Here is one site that sells white TV's. I am sure there are several. http://www.abt.com/product/65234/Toshiba-24V4260U.html?utm_source=scfroogle&utm_medium=sc&utm_campaign=24V4260U&adtype=pla
ReplyDeleteLove your plates- they look great-xo Diana
I don't notice "metal" around your plates -- how did you mount them to the wall -- do you use "disc" (I believe that is the name)?
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about your desire for a white TV! I'm trying to convince my husband to let me buy that super lightweight, foam/plastic, prepainted white trim to cut and put on the outer rim of our flat screen TV. It can be attached with those 3m velcro strips that are used to stabilize picture frames ~ fully removable by just a pull of the tab. Still, my husband won't have it. I did win the vote of buying a Sony which has a stainless steel finish on the outer rim :o)
ReplyDeleteI grew up just a few miles from the town you live in. Years ago they had a pie shop/restaurant on Main Street that was so delicious. My Mom used to take me on special occasions ~ good memories. There was also a doll shop that we used to frequent. There was a time in the 1990's when the cute, quaint shops and bakeries left and they filled downtown Z with insurance agencies and boring things like that. I'm so glad to see it has reverted back to Quaint USA! You are blessed to live there!!
Your wall of plates beautiful, I do not know how you are taking the cold burr! Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteI have the answer == no TV! I don't have one, but I know most all do. Your wall looks lovely. I do have a question -- what are you watching -- looks like a watercolor tutorial!
ReplyDeleteBest,

The plates look great and I totally agree with you about the white tv. I can't imagine why no one has made one yet. Who do we talk to?
ReplyDeleteThe china looks terrific ! I'm waiting for a prettier tv frame too - I once saw a pic of a frame built around the tv using crown moulding. It looked really good.

ReplyDeleteI HAVE A WHITE TV! It's a Samsung. Not as big as yours but maybe they make one that size as well. I have it in my sewing room. Hate the black. Good luck.
