A Blur

The last two weeks have been a blur. We've had a constant flow of out of town visitors with more on the way tomorrow. It feels like I'm practicing for opening a B&B. I prepared a Thanksgiving feast for family that I never would have dreamed would be sitting at my table on that day.

We said goodbye to Autumn and hello to Christmas. There is a tree happily twinkling in the corner as I type. I have finished almost all of my shopping and most of it is wrapped and under the tree. I've been crafting and making gifts. I'm fighting the feeling of being behind when the Christmas season is just beginning. I'm keeping my expectations at a reasonable level and looking forward to quiet family time. I'm happy that next week life will slow down and I'll have time to catch up with all of you.

I'm especially excited to share what's going on around here this weekend.

  1. Do tell! I don't know how you do it. I can't stand long with this ankle that apparently is going to be a life long thing, so decorating is in spurts. I feel pressured and behind because I'm on a tour. But can only do what I can do. I admire you for holding up with running the B&B!

  2. I can't wait to hear what is going on around there this weekend! I am so behind it isn't funny. Our little guy in the hospital needed all of my time- he just wanted Nana and now that he came home I find that I was too tired today to do much- xo Diana

  4. You have your Christmas shopping done and feel like you are behind.

I have very little shopping done and am just now putting up decorations - a little every day. But, I am enjoying the process of decorating our house for the first time in 10 years. This is the first time we have been home and not on a family vacation and I am enjoying each little bit.

Also, thank you for mentioning Flow in an earlier post. I saw a copy of the current issue in the bookstore and it's fabulous!
