And Breathe

Hello, dear old blog. I've missed you.

I've had plenty keeping me busy lately.

My wee baby girl just walked in from her college orientation so it felt like the right time to do a little catch up. After seeing the picture above it probably won't surprise you to know that she just signed up for a class on the Mafia for her first semester.

I couldn't possibly catch you up completely on the last several months but I can tell you that they included, among other things, an 18th birthday and roaring 20's themed party, a trip to France for the little one, prom, final orchestra concert, an art show, an awards ceremony, French National Honor Society program, a couple of ballet recitals, graduation and a grad party. I think we are all exhausted.

She made her prom dress by the way. And then painted a picture of it which she won an award for. We all try very hard not to hate her but she's annoyingly talented. She's currently sewing an Edwardian nightgown because...why not?

 There have been some tears.

There have been some people making fun of tears.

Sisters. Seriously how did I end up with such lovely, successful girls?

Graduation was two weekends ago and the party was last weekend.

It has been one very full, emotional and exhausting roller coaster of a season. We are so excited about what's ahead for all of us. While raising my girls has been the highlight of my career, I am looking forward with enthusiasm and anticipation. I'm looking forward to sharing more about that very soon.

  3. I've missed you and your blog posts! But you've been one busy mama. Is Emma off to college as in living there or will she be commuting? Just wondering if you're now going to be an empty nester. If so, it's exciting and also a bit sad. xoxo
