Christmas Cheer around the Cottage

I thought I'd pop in with a little Christmas tour of our cottage in an effort to help me next year when I pull all of the Christmas decorations out but can't remember what goes where! I can't believe it's Christmas Eve, eve. I hope to come back and post photos just of the studio one day this week. There have been some fun changes in there and I have taken too many photos to add to this already photo heavy post.

I end with these beautiful birthday flowers from my best friend! I wish I'd had time to properly edit these photos-well as proper as I ever edit photos. Learning lightroom is on my to do list for 2021. My sweetie got me a wonderful new wide angle lens for my birthday and I am loving being able to get shots in my little, cozy cottage, that I have never been able to get before and my passion for photography has recently been reignited.

Wishing you all the happiest of holidays. These are hard, weird times and we are just trying our best around here. Stay healthy!

  4. It all looks lovely! I do the same thing, I take pics for IG and the blog so I can reference them next year. But then I went rogue this year and made new displays. Go figure. Must have been all the time I had having to stay home. Have a wonderful Christmas! Kit

    1. I also tend to go rogue, Kit. Even though every year I think I love it more than I could ever love it any other way!

  7. I absolutely *love* this tour of your home! You are obviously doing well with learning how to use your new lens because I love these views I've never seen before. I never realized what gorgeous crown molding your home has and I love the detail in the baluster at the start of your staircase.

Your decor is so lovely, too. I would love to see your home in person and just take it all in.

Happy Christmas to you and your family and many blessings for 2021.

    1. Thanks, Melanie! The crown molding really isn't great in person. They used a lot of short cuts and corner blocks like crazy. We will fix it one day!

  10. All the photos look wonderful to me. I never edit mine and when I do, I wish I hadn't. Your home is lovely and seems to get a lot of natural light which is all you need for good photos. :) All your seasonal decor fits right in perfectly. Merry Christmas!
