Shop at Home

Now, I think most of you think this term refers to ordering cubic zirconias from the Home Shopping Channel, but at my house it means making a trip down to the basement to shop from the Jen Collection. Tell me, do any of you have an area like this? If it didn't please me so much, I'm sure I would be ashamed of it. I know it would ease my conscience to know you have one too. I showed you mine, you wanna show me yours?

  1. Well, I have something similar, but, my stuff is all crammed into rubbermaid bins in the basement. We have 3 busy body cats would destroy it all if I left it out like your picture!

  2. I have my things all spread around in small cabinets and extra shelves. Wish I had a basement... My grandmother has a basement and all the gals in my family take their unwanted goods there and then we all "shop" when we visit. My aunt named it The Bargain Basement. Cute huh?

  3. yes, that would be my pantry! I think it has more "stuff" than food, but sometimes that can be a good thing!

  5. Jen, you are funny "and neat" I shop all over the house with stuff crammed in everywhere, I sort of like the surprises when I open cupboards, drawers, guest closets (ha that's a joke, guests would be hardpressed to get much in there), It would be nicer "if" it were all neat and orderly, but hey, where's the fun, I like scavenger shopping anyway! Maybe we should all invite each other into each other's shop!
I guess that's what Jen is doing!

  8. I actually don't have the room at my place to have something similar but I think I'd definitely like to go shopping at the 'Jen Collection'!

  9. Oh, you have no idea. Guess I need to get a picture of "mine". My is in rubbermaid containers. 3 in the spare closet, 2 in the garage, hanging thrifted clothes in the closet... tubs of WIPs... I have my own Shop at Home Network... just like you. I should get it all out in the living room and take a picture.. it would look like a quilt store + hobby lobby threw up in the living room.

    I love your blog!

  11. I'm so envious, I don't have a basement. I'm to the point now where I'm afraid to buy stuff because I don't know where I'll put it. I love to change things around so I would love an area like that. How fun!

  12. I want to come shopping at your house! Don't you wish that you could do that in your friends houses every few months, trading back & forth? All new goodies, all of the time!

As far as storing my goodies, I'm much like other posters in that I have them spread in several closets, etc.

  13. Um, no, I don't have such a plethora of joy in my basement. Don't even have a basement. But I'd LOVE to come and shop in yours!

  15. What a neat place to shop. I do something similar...my DH made me three big shelves and I have all of our "antique stuff" on them. When it is time to visit our antique booth we go down and "shop" the shelves and decide what to bring when there is fresh new space in the antique area.

Maybe I should start one for our own "stuff!"

  16. Well I have 1 small cabinet full of candles, candle holders, and tableclothes, a few containers of copper downstairs. I don't have quite the setup you have, but I'm sure I have the stuff scattered about in various storage areas.
