In the Bag
I have a really hard time passing up a cute bag. Whether I need it or not. This was never more apparent than while we were on vacation. I bought 7 bags on that trip, not including the ones I bought as gifts. That number is only rivaled by the number of tins I bought. Actually I just added them up in my head and it was also 7, not including the ones I bought as gifts (a post for another day). Notice a pattern here?
I'm drawn to containers of all sorts: bags, boxes, baskets, bins. I need them. My girls teased me unmercifully about all of my bag purchases that last day in London. Until we started counting up the ones they had bought. Let's just say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and I'm pretty sure they won't dare tease me about my bags again.
In pie news, I wanted to assure you that the Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb Pie from my last post was salvaged with liberal spoonfuls of sugar sprinkled on top. Determination and my sweet tooth won afterall.

A girl can never have enough purses! Whenever I am traveling, I always buy hthem if it is something fun and unique.
ReplyDeleteI love your collection of bags Jen. I tend to have one basic black leather bag and use it for years until it wears out. I would love to have a big collection. Everytime I see a colorful bag someone is carrying I love it. I need to get more adventurous.
ReplyDeleteI'm a purse girl too. Right now I have a couple of Vera Bradley's that I swap out per season. Lovely bags you have hanging on your rack!
ReplyDeleteI also suffer this affliction. But what can I say, it just makes me happy! My wall rack leading from our garage entrance is covered with bags and aprons (another one of my many "afflictions"). Mind you, these are not my purses (those are housed in my closet in their own dust covers) just my bags used for carrying anything and everything for trips to the market, gym, etc. Ahhh, it's the little things in life that make us happy.
ReplyDeleteI think it is written in our DNA that we can't ever have enough bags. Love them!

I love bags, too! That Cath Kidson one makes me want to reach into my screen and grab it for myself. That is a fabulous find!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh, now I know we can be friends - I have the SAME obsession! I'm a simple girl when it comes to fashion - sort of jeans and a t-shirt everyday. An awesome bag is a great accessory!

ReplyDeleteMe too! I love a good bag. I have a dresser in my guest room devoted just to totes. Crazy, I tell ya! You really found some cute one! I have a little 'bag envy" going on over here! ;o)

I'm with you! Love bags, baskets and bins-never can have enough! Especially not from England!
ReplyDeleteLove them! And I am not even a bag person. But I love the use as decor....LOL Kit
ReplyDeleteI have bags hanging everywhere....As a teacher I feel I have the perfect excuse for always needing a new bag;
ReplyDeleteA true 'Girly-Girl' loves her bags! Love the Cath Kidston - how cute is that? I love vintage evening bags and straw bags, too. A girl can never have too many. I store my projects and needlework in the straw bags when not in use. And the evening bags are great for storing jewelry and trinkets. Love your collection. xx
ReplyDeletegirl after my own heart ;) oh, you should see my bag collection. my sweetie calls me "the bag lady" and jokes about how i travel with no less than 5 different bags (all for specific purposes though!) i would have bought out the cath kidston store, so i'd say 7 is fairly under control, right?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI like your style, honey! I leave for London on vacation tomorrow and I plan on spending just as much $$ as you did at the CK store and throughout the capital!! I
ReplyDeleteI am here as your personal fairy Baglady to encourage any and all of your past/current/future purchases. You did good, Jenny! Really good! (swoon)
ReplyDeletei am right there with you...especially if its a CK bag!! love yours. also, I am totally swooning over your aqua door...perfection!
ReplyDeleteLucky you, going to Cath Kidston. I'm off to France and Germany next month!
ReplyDeleteI too love bags, but a small house keeps me from buying too many. I love how you hung them as a display.

ReplyDeleteLOVE it! No such thing as too rich or too many purses! I would LOVE to see them all, along with your tins!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with bags? I can't get enough of them! And if your on vacation and find some you can't get back home, you MUST purchase them! Still loving the color of your door and I love how you have your bags hanging. So pretty. See, they are great for decor as well as usefulness.

I don't blame you one bit on the bags! I would have bought one of each at Cath Kidston I believe!!
ReplyDeleteI can't blame you. If they are cute why not? Bags are also used for so many different things.
